What i would do with Smackdown.
Ok this is a thread for people who criticise the writers for screwing smackdown over and over(like me) and always say they could do a better job. Well fact is i never actually see any of you write anything other than a couple of lines on what they could do. So what i'm making this thread for is for people to tell me what they agree/disagree with of my idea and how they would change it.And if you want to bitch about it being too long, well you really shouldn't be on a discussion forum at all.
Well what i propose is this(i'll split it into three parts-Summerslam- Survivor series/SS-RR/ RR-Wrestlemania. August: The main event feud: Since we are now stuck with JBL/Batista again, i would have JBL win at Summerslam because then that opens up more challengers for the title. In a rematch the next night on Raw, JBL retains his title against Batista after Brock lesnar F-5's Batista, which sets up the feud between the two. Other feuds: Eddie/Rey feud continues after Eddie has revealed the rest of the secret.Rey is crushed that the secret has been revealed, and says he needs one more match to finish Eddie off, but this match has an added twist to it, Rey requests a Street Fight at Summerslam. Then after a brutal match, Eddie finally gets the victory over Rey. Christian/OJ feud for the US title,Christian wins the title from OJ at Summerslam, meanwhile Benoit/Booker T lose to Animal/Heidenreich after Benoit/Booker T won a no.1 contenders match against MNM. September: The main event feud: Since there is no PPV this month for Smackdown, Teddy Long makes a triple threat match for the WWE title on Smackdown in the third week of the month between JBL/Batista/Brock Lesnar. JBL retains with a pin on Brock. The next week JBL then says he is truly unstoppable, and he has overcome the odds to get to where he is today. Benoit's music then hits, he claims he can beat JBL,and demands a title shot. Booker T then comes out and also challenges, Tedyd Long then makes a no.1 contenders match between the two which Benoit wins.Benoit is beat down afterwards by JBL.The match is then made for no mercy in october between Benoit/JBL. Other feuds: After winning at Summerslam, Eddie brings Dominic with him to other ring and shows him footage of what he wasn't meant to see last night in the Street Fight.Eddie said all this time that Rey was winning, that he was just playing with Rey's mind, leading Rey to think that he was better than him, so that when the truth came out it would really hurt him.Eddie then reveals that he is a special guest referee in Reys match later, which is against JBL. At the end of the match, Rey is screwed out of beating JBL by Eddie and Eddie continues to beat down on a mentally scarred Rey. Rey is then taken to hospital.Eddie starts to pick up a few victories over the next month while Rey is nowhere to be seen. Christian retains the US title against OJ, while Booker T says he wants to prove he still 'has it' and challneges Christian. Booker T then shockingly wins the title from Christian. They continue the fued over the next month, while MNM regain their tag titles. October: The main event feuds: Benoit/JBL continue to battle it out while Brock brutally attacks Batista one week.Batista then demands a match to payback Brock at No Mercy.Batista beats Brock. Other feuds: Eddie is on top of the world after getting back on a winning streak, until he is about to come out for a match, and Rey attacks him from behind until security gets a hold of him. The next week, Rey requests a match at No Mercy. Eddie says Rey doesn't have a chance, but he accepts only if it is inside a steel cage. The match is made for No Mercy, which Eddie wins after yet another brutal match. Booker T/OJ have a match at No Mercy for the title in which Booker wins. MNM retain their tag titles over Animal/heidenreich. November: The main event: In the month of Survivor Series, Brock says he was really pissed off after the loss to Batista and blames it on being out of the business for so long. He requests a traditional SS match against Batista, Batista accepts.Brocks team wins after Brock pins Batista. As for the WWE title, Benoit/OJ/Eddie/Rey fight for the no.1 contendership, Benoit wins after making OJ submit.Eddie and Rey left the match while brawling with each other into the crowd.benoit/JBL battle it out until SS, and Benoit wins the title. Other feuds: Eddie and Rey also compete in an traditional SS match at SS,Reys team wins after Rey pins a member of Eddie's team, Eddie walked out on the match. I'll do part 2 later... I know this is long, but thats how i would do it.Opinions? |

I honestly applaud you for your efforts, however..I would change one thing--removing JBL from the main event scene. I know I personally cannot stand to see him in the main event anymore.

Thank you. Trust me that is where i am going on the next part, if i ever get round to it, i was just going with what i had to work with and make it as realistic as possible. The thing about Eddie/Rey should continue i think as its Smackdowns biggest feud by far, don't know how you mean it's forced though. What i am in the process of doing is building up Eddie's credibility so he can get to the main event again, ive made it so he see's those victories from Rey as unimportant, and now Rey is the one having trouble winning after the secret has mentally damaged him. |

The bit about Eddie and Rey seems a little too stretched out and forced as well. They should kill the feud off while it's peaked rather than drag it on for too long.

At the next WWE Draft lottery Id make these trades to save Smackdown:
To Raw: Frankie Kazarian. Scotty 2 Hotty. Nunzio. Funaki. Candice Micheele. To Smackdown: John Cena. Kurt Angle. Shawn Michaels. Chris Jericho. Kane. That'd save Smackdown good'n'proper. |

Part 2:
December: The main event feud: With Benoit winning the title at SS, the question is who will challenge him? Benoit says he could beat anyone in the back, Eddies music hits. He says how great it is that Benoit is the champion, but that he himself deserves it more after the recent undefeated streak including two victories over Rey.Benoit accepts the challenge.Reys music then hits, despite injuries from the recent match wih Eddie, he says he and Eddie should have a no.1 contendership match, the GM comes out and agrees. The match doesn't finish after Brock interferes in the match and beats down both Rey and Eddie. The following week, the GM makes a fatal 4 way match for the title at Armageddon between Brock/Eddie/Rey&Benoit. Benoit retains after making Eddie submit. Other feuds: Meanwhile Batista/Taker have a feud to become the next challenger for the title, Batista wins the match at Armageddon inside the Hell in the Cell(considering its armageddon, it needed a match like that) JBL/OJ fight for the tag titles as JBL attempts to become a champion again, in a three way match between them, MNM&Animal/heidenreich. JBL/OJ win the titles. Jamie Noble(considering he is returning now) beats Booker T for the US title at Armageddon. Charlie Haas also returns only to lose to Christian at the PPV. January: The main event feud: In the month of one of the biggest ppv's of the year, Benoit will now face Batista at the rumble. The two team up in a tag team match against MNM, and win. But out of nowhere Paul Heyman returns to WWE and after the match while Benoit is celebrating, he hands Batista a chair and knocks Benoit down with it, then delivers the Batista bomb as Heyman stands with Batista. Batista turns heel and becomes more dominant than he was like Brock was when he was with heyman. Batista wins the title with help from Heyman. Other feuds: Rey claims that he and Eddie still arent finished yet. he says eddie can't beat him when it comes down to a proper wrestling match.Teddy Long comes out and says he will give Rey his match with Eddie at the Rumble, aslong as this ends the feud between the two of them for good, Rey agrees. At the Rumble the match is tight, but Rey gets the final victory over Eddie. Christian wins the US title from Noble at the Rumble. Haas/Booker T lose to JBL/OJ in a tag team title match at the Rumble. The Rumble itsself: Eddie wins the Rumble for Smackdown and will main event at Wrestlemania. Part 3: February(sp?): The main event feud: With Batista dominant and being with Heyman, Batista is looking unstoppable.Benoit fails to regain his title in a re-match, despite coming close to making him tap out.Brock turns face and feuds with Batista&Heyman(considering they're old partners). brock talks about the past between him and Paul and how you can't trust Paul, and says he has already beaten Batista before. The two feud and end up facing each other at No Way Out, only Benoit gets included so it becomes a triple threat match.Benoit amaingly regains the title with a sharpshooter on Batista. Other feuds: Christian continues to defends his title, he and Rey feud for the title at No Way Out, Christian wins the match. Eddie beats Booker T at No Way Out in a 'warm up' for his wrestlemania match. Haas beats Noble at the PPV. In the lead up to wrestlemania, Brock/Batista decide to become a dominant force as team and they win the tag titles from JBL/OJ with Heyman at ringside. They also defend the titles at wrestlemania. Benoit and Eddie have a long feud before wrestlemania, with Eddie mostly gaining the advantage.Christian challenges Benoit to a match for the WWE title before Wrestlemania,Benoit accepts and retains but Eddie wins the title from Benoit at WM. Christian, despite losing to Benoit, is still the US champion. He says he may of lost to Benoit but he is still the greatest US champion of all time. Rey comes out and says the two should face each other at Wrestlemania, the GM makes the match in which Rey wins and becomes the new champion at WM. Haas feuds with his former partner Hardcore Holly for whatever reason, and haas wins the match. (That was a HUGE post) |

Having done that, it has given me a real perspective on how much of a shithole smackdown is in right now. That was the main purpose of this thread, but the fact is the writers have brought it on themselves. What i have managed to do though was:
Bring back Eddie's credibility as a main eventer. Keep rey in the spotlight, and got him over while giving him a title. Christian has become part of the focus of Smackdown. Keep Brock away from winning the title, and make him pay his dues. Brought back Heyman so he can speak for Batista who is well-known folr poor mic skills, and now Batista and Brock are a dominant tag team. And got JBL out of the main event back to where he should be. Ill'd like to see the real writers do that. |

Seriously, just cancel it.
The seperate rosters is retarded. Bring back faction/guild wars and lump everybody into one roster for a more diverse program and extend the 2 hour Raw block to 3. Smackdown was only there to compete with WcW Thunder. |

Good posts. I can't say I agree with everything you've put there, but I must say I applaude you for your effort and determination to get your ideas out there.
Personally, here's how I'd do things. Summerslam- World Heavyweight Title Match Leading into the event, JBL's contendership is questioned, and The Undertaker and Randy Orton are grouped into the main event as well. Theodore R. Long then makes the announcement that SmackDown! has secured two former World Champions to join the roster, and at Summerslam, they will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship as well. The match will be an...Elimination Chamber. The two former champs turn out to be Kane (unofficially traded for Muhammad Hassan) and Brock Lesnar. Kane and Lesnar start, with JBL being the next guy in. JBL and Lesnar work together to ground Kane. Randy Orton is now in, and he too helps the heels beat the crap out of Kane. Kane however mounts a massive comeback as the next entrant is in. Kane and The Undertaker stand face-to-face as Michael Cole and Tazz remind us of their history. The Brothers of Destruction are cut loose and they begin to destroy everybody, save for Lesnar, who manages to hold his own. The last entrant is the World Champ, who attempts to topple The Brothers of Destruction, and he actually does, which should get massive pops from his hometown crowd. Batista manages to pin JBL to start off the eliminations. Randy Orton pins The Undertaker some minutes later with the RKO. Randy Orton is beaten by Lesnar with the F-5. Kane eliminates Lesnar with the Chokeslam. The final two are Kane and Batista. The Big Red Machine is finally beaten by Batista who continues his reign as World Heavyweight Champion. Other Feuds Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio is not addressed at Summerslam. I know this seems like a bad move, but this way you save the match until No Mercy, a PPV that really needs a big match. To explain the matches' absence, Eddie is beaen down by a bunch of faces next week on SD!. Preferbly Hardcore Holly, Jamie Noble, Nunzio, Big Vito & Funaki. Rey Mysterio is suspended for this, and we constantly see videos of Eddie swearing revenge against Mysterio, claiming he NEVER loses. London continues his problems with The Mexicools, and defeats Juvi at Summerslam to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. MNM regain the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Tag Team Turmoil also involving Animal & Heidenreich, William Regal & Scotty 2 Hotty, Psicosis & Super Crazy, Big Vito & Funaki, Nunzio & Jamie Noble, Stevie Richards & Hollywood Nova, The Shane Twins, Danny Doring & Roadkill as well as Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney. If they can secure it, it would also be nice to see The Dudley Boyz on WWE TV one last time, but don't hold your breathe. The only other match SD! contibutes is a Fatal Fourway for the WWE United States Championship. Orlando Jordan defends against Christian, Chris Benoit & Booker T. Orlando Jordan retains the title by some miracle, pinning Booker T. This would be a good match to try out some gimmick, but a straight Fatal Fourway Match would work. This has been a long post. I'll try and shorten them in the future. Anyway, coming up I've got a wrestling classic, a Hell in a Cell, Spanky, Kazarian, Thrillseekers and more. |

No Mercy- World Heavyweight Championship
Batista is still Champion and Kane and Brock Lesnar have been injected into the main event scene. This is the foundation to the main event of No Mercy. Theodore R. Long announces a tournament to decide Batista's opponent at No Mercy. The first-round matches are as follows: Eddie Guerrero vs. Booker T Kane vs. JBL Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit Eddie Guerrero defeats Booker T via disqualification when Rey Mysterio (back from suspension) interferes. Michael Cole & Tazz muse over why Rey would help Eddie pick up the DQ win instead of costing him the match. This is answered by Kane squashing JBL in the next match, as in the next round, Eddie has the punishment of facing Kane. Lesnar defeats The Undertaker via pinfall, and Randy Orton defeats Benoit with help from Christian who is pissed of because he is not in the tournament. In the second round, Kane defeats Eddie Guerrero and Lesnar defeats Randy Orton. In the finals, Kane and Lesnar don't reach a decision in their match. Kane can't beat Lesnar, as he keeps kicking out everything (Tombstones, Chokeslams through announce tables) and Lesnar can't beat Kane. Kane even sits up after an F-5 off the top rope. Eventually the matches ends with Kane sitting up, and Lesnar on the mat looking at Kane. Both guys seem shocked by what the other is taking. The referee is still counting to ten, but neither Kane nor Lesnar moves. Eventually the referee counts them both out, and we don't get a winner. Batista runs out and Demon Bombs both guys, and says he will take them both on at No Mercy. Batista calls it his first "real challenge". The climax of the No Mercy Triple Threat sees Lesnar F-5 Kane out of the ring, before taking a Demon Buster and Demon Bomb for the pinfall. Batista successfully defends the World Heavyweight Title again. No Mercy- Hell in a Cell Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero's problems have escalated. Both Rey and Eddie's families are in ruin, and they still haven't reached a climax to their feud. Teddy Long says if Eddie and Rey won't end it, he will. At No Mercy, Eddie/Rey in a Hell in a Cell Match! Both guys sell the match really well. Both men secretly don't want this match, because they don't like the risks, and they still don't really hate each other enough to end their careers, even through all this personal torment. Both men cut tough promos on each other saying they have nothing to lose. They say stuff like "Who will cry at out graves? Our family? We've destroyed our familia!". Teddy Long agrees to call off the match if Eddie and Rey both sit down and agree to it. Both Eddie and Rey's pride won't let up though, so the SD! before the match is scheduled we see Rey standing in the ring calling out Eddie. Michael Cole and Tazz talk about whether or not Rey and Eddie will settle their differences. Rey knows Eddie won't want to quit, he hasn't quit anything in his life, except for his relationship with Rey. Rey also doesn't trust Eddie to leave his family alone by choice. Rey then cuts a heart-filled promo where he calls out Eddie to the ring. He then talks about how if they go through with this match, and finally find out who the better man is, their families will never recover. After the Hell in a Cell, all they will have is their careers, and it's likely that they won't even have that after the match, either. Rey then says he hates Eddie more than anyone else in the world right now, but he actually feels closer to him than he feels to anyone else right now. When you're best friend is your worst enemy, maybe that's enough reason to enter Hell in a Cell? The whole promo Eddie just look up at the lights, side to Rey, nodding and tilting his head when Rey says somethng. When Rey talks about justifcation for entering the match, Eddie turns to Rey and this time looks roughly in his direction. Rey then takes a few steps towards Eddie and says "Eddie, let's just agree, that Sunday, we'll show each other No Mercy.", Rey then extends his hand towards Eddie. Eddie shakes, and then they let go, have a staredown while the No Mercy theme plays, before Eddie walks to the back. I don't know how it sounds written there, but in my head it plays out to be real emotion and upsetting that these men have taken each other to the point where their personal lives and professional lives are no longer worth living. The actualy match itself is the first Hell in a Cell produced by SmackDown! in three years. It is also the first time in Hell in a Cell history (Well, I'm pretty sure it is), since Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (the first-ever Hell in a Cell) that all the participants have never been in a previous Hell in a Cell. The match is basically what you'd expect from Eddie vs. Rey. Greatness. They use ladders, chairs, tables the Cell, and they eventually go outside the Cell, and end up on top. They also tell a pretty good story in the match, too. There are parts where Rey is busted on the ground, crawling aroudn screaming in agony, even crying. Eddie then hesitates before hitting Rey and screams in rage that he's in here with Rey, before kicking the crap out of him and telling him to shut up. When they climb on top of the Cell, Eddie gets to the point where he's holding Rey up in the air in a military press. He look down at the announce table but then hesitates giving Rey a chance to get out. The match can go either way, but it might be a smart move to give Rey Mysterio the win here. There's the other stuff for No Mercy, but I've gone and posted something long again, so I'll do that later. |

I would personally, since Eddie did say something about having Rey's LIFE, have a first ever ___________ Death Match in the WWE. The blank would be filled in with whatever type of deathmatch you would perfer (Japanese, Texas, etc.)

That's not really realistic as to what the WWE would do though, the closest things i could think of they would do are a street fight/steel cage match, a hell in a cell match wouldn't be right for their kind of styles. Also i have just realised i forgot about Randy Orton, but i have a way to fit him into the US title scene/a couple of Heavyweight title matches i'll do it when i get the idea in my head properly. |

Good job Alienoid.
A re-done storyline of mine involving Randy orton: September: After beating Taker at SummerSlam, Orton thinks he deserves a heavyweight title shot.In my original storyline i said Booker T/Chris Benoit come out, instead i'll make that them aswell as Orton. They have a triple threat match for the no.1 contendership, which Benoit wins. Orton is nowhere to be seen in October, but comes back as part of Eddies team, who lose the SS match, thanks to Eddie walking out earlier. In the month of the Armageddon, Teddy Long announces that it will truly be Armageddon, whent here will be a 6-man elimination chamber match for the Heavyweight title.Orton gets involved in the heavyweight title scene. He is part of the elimination chamber match between Orton/Benoit/Eddie/Rey/brock/Batista. Benoit still wins after making Eddie tap out. In January, Orton gets close to winning the Rumble after he had earlier won the US title from christian.(I had it as Noble winning before) In feb, both Rey and Christian challenge orton for the title, which Christian wins back again after pinning Rey with help from the ropes. With WM approaching, Orton claims he is tired of being screwed out of winning. He claims he wants to get back to old ways, and says that he aims to do that by correcting old mistakes. He says Undertaker doesn't have an opponent for WM yet, and it's time he did what he should've done last year- end the Undertakers winning streak and kill Taker off for good. Taker feuds with orton until orton finally beats him with three RKO's at WM, ending Takers winning streak and putting Orton back to the main event.(i would've made him champion if i remembered about him in my original storyline) |
