TNA isn't *that* bad.
I was just watching some matches from their last PPV and recent Impact! and anyhow...I think people are being a little too hard and critical of TNA. I mean, they're not really that bad. A lot of their matches are great, and contain far more action than WWE matches do. Granted, they make the stupidest booking decisions known to man, and can't figure themeselves out financially....but at least they got something positive going for them.

TNA is pretty good. If you ignore Jarrett. Once you learn that, it's great.

TNA isn't THAT bad, but it's not THAT good, either. I swear, it still feels like WCW.

TNA was improving even before they went of FSN. Doesn't make 'em a good show, and to draw me in, they're gonna need more. Believe it or not, I watch the WWE because I've already been watching it for a while. I'm not sure I'd be watching them right now if I had to start watching blank slate. The habit's formed, I know and c are about it, and so on.

TNA's no better off. No habit, not a signifcant draw on my interest, and the ups haven't been enough to turn that around...Yet. They could blow me away sometime soon, but there needs to be enough going on to make me give a shit.

lol It does feel identical to WCW. I actually like the feeling though, brings back memories.

Yeah, I only watch WWE for that same purpose...force of habit.

Well, I think the only way TNA will begin to spark interest is when they come on Monday Nights (if ever), and force both themeselves and WWE to put on a good product. As the two begin to compete, they won't have time to play around with stupid shit and are gonna do whatever it takes to grab interest from people.

The only way they're gonna spark interest is if they book in a way that's compelling, instead of nonsensical. Good, strong storylines (Which is something the WWE can't compete with).

And kill Raven. Jesus Christ, Cobain's been dead for like a decade, and he's still nicking the shit. I know he's supposed to be intelligent, buthe sounds likehe should join up with Taking Back Sunday.

Pretty much what KK said. They have some awesome talent. But their storylines blow ass and for me, I need both story and wrestling. Two dudes wrestling for no apparent reason doesn't interest me. Not to say Jericho spilling coffee on Kane, leading to a feud, is a good reason either, but you know what I mean.

As a matter of fact, earlier tonight I noticed ON Demand has some TNA matches available. I checked out the Daniels/Skipper match from Lockdown. Had to go out so I haven't finished it yet but so far its lived up to the praise its received.

TNA's problems have never had to do with whatd going on in the ring. But right now every PPV is like watching ROH, with a ton of shitty angles and a lousy main event. In that case, I'd rather watch ROH.

In order for TNA to get viewers, it has to have at least one compelling storyline. I can't name one, not one, decent storyline in recent memory. (ok..maybe the Raven stuff a while back, but they blew that to hell).

So, basically, TNA isn't *that* bad. But untiol I have a reason to tune in on a week to week basis, I'm going to read the results and then download the matches with good word of mouth of the net. And mot people, without reason to be a regular viewer, are going to ignore it entirely.

To clarify: watching a TNA ppv is like watching an ROH show (as far as the matches being really good at times) except that you also have a ton of shitty angles and the main event is usually pretty lousy. So, since I'd rather see the ring work, minus the crap, and with a main event that is actually worthy of being at the top of the card, I'd rather watch RoH than TNA at this point.

Only if they get serious about booking.

Jarrett in the main event=bad.

Making The Phenomenal AJ styles, THE guy associated with TNA look like a fluke champion=bad.

Pushing WWE castoffs=bad. Very few of the people they've snatched up are worth it.

Half-ass booking, and plots that make no sense=Even a TV deal in prime time won't save them.

What TNA really needs to do to consider itself a serious promotion is basically do what everyone here is saying. Stop putting matches together 5 minutes before the show. If you do that...you might have a chance.

TNA just can't get a storyline going either because of Jarret. Every time they seem to have something good going...Jarret squashes it.

Not to sound like a broken record, but it's not that bad. The Dusty days were the worst and now it's getting better. I can't wait to see Rhino v. Raven again (for the love of Jericho, Rhino in a main event? It sure has been awhile) even though I know Jarrett will somehow get his chance to fuck it up.

But yes, the storylines need a bit of work, it'll just takes some time and once they are on Spike, it can get even better. Just as long as there is less Waltman and Jarrett.

Yeah, give the devil his due; Waltman has been wrestling out of his mind the last few shows, and you could make a case that he was carrying AJ & Lynn in their singles matches and was the focal point of the action in that King of the Mountain match where Raven won the belt.

Maybe seeing himself look like a mental case lusting after a tranny on Surrel Life was the kick in the asshe needed.

TNA needs more Shark Boy, i love him. Biting Ladies bottoms. Fantastic.
but on a serious note, i reckon most of the matches are shoot. they never seem to flow right. and who actually does the boolings? i started watching a couple of week ago and it was just like good ol' WcW.
I think to get the croud going they should bring Norman smiley in as Abyss' Trainer. that would be fun.
