Booker T.......
....makes a waaay better heel than JBL does. I'll bet if you threw the Book Man into a feud with Batista, he'd bring out the best in him.

So far, Booker T has been kind of the mid-card elevator: almost always has good/watchable matches, but his opponent almost always gets over him. One of my bigger dissapointments in wrestling was Booker T losing against Triple H at mania 19. The guy is always putting on a good show, and the fans get behind him. I say give him another run at the title.

Booker is a better overall heel. JBL excells on the mic in a way Booker could only dream of.

That was the time Booker should have been elevated to main event status. Triple H really buried him in that feud. Now Booker's time has passed, and I don't think he should be given a run with the belt. He should have been given the chance a few years ago, but not now.

i disagree. to make a believable heel/face main eventer you really should have the full package... ring skill & mic skill (outside of hogan, batista & jbl)

would cena, hbk, & angle really be that over if it wasn't for their mic work?

how about the rock? the was one of the most hated men in the industry until he found his "calling" on the stick.

Angle and HBK would still be stars without their mic skills, and to say otherwise is ridiculous. They are good enough in the ring to draw without ever needing to talk at all.

Didn't say that. However, JBL can garner a HUGE amount of heat. Booker's kinda...Well, he's no spring chicken.

Ideally, JBL wouldn't be at the top, or would improve.

HHH was a great in ring worker until relatively recently. He probably could have managed. Angle as well. Cena? Doubtful.

Booker T can still be something, IMO. He's shown he has gas left, plus he has been kept strong on PPVs recently. If only the WWE reminded us of this, and had Booker T look stronger than he should. Personally, I would make sure he is part of a winning team at Survivor Series, and have him win a big match at Armageddon, then see how the crowd reacts to him entering the Royal Rumble.

I'm excited about next year's Rumble, because you have new stars looking to get established, and older guys looking for one last hurrah. 2006 may be the most unpredictable Rumble in a long time if they have someone like Booker T win.

Booker T has that "no matter how long he's around, i can't get tired of him" character..kind of like Flair, but not as legendary. Alot of people have said that after WM 19, his career was finished, but whoa and behold...Book is the shit and ever since Harlem Heat, he's been IMO i pictured him Hall of Fame status..that is IF the wrestling business takes him seriously as a title contender...I honestly don't think people want to see him go after the U.S. or Intercontinental title..maybe thats just me

The guy is hilarious and I enjoy his matches...

Although very short, the match with Batista at SS, as well as some of his earlier matches against Cena, UnderTaker, Eddie and even Big Show were all decent performances...

I disagree on Booker as a heel. He's the type of wrestler that fans want to cheer more than boo. If only WWE could completely make his persona one that fans could take seriously (using his "spin-a-roonie" as a kip-up move again would help, as well as nixing the hand-staring), he could finally win a world title in the company before he retires.

I don't even see Booker as a legit contender for the championship. It's so odd because I remember how over he was when he won the WCW title, and when he entered WWE as part of the Invasion. After the Triple H feud...that was really it for him. On top of that, the feud was drawn so shitty. Triple H as the racist guy vs Booker as the Negroid Defender? "Booker, go get me a towel!"

But I still can't forget how hilarious "I'm just a Booka T! Booookaaa TTTTTT...im not your sucka, suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" was.

I enjoyed the tag team of Booker T and Goldust. After the broke the team then pretended Goldust didn't exist, Booker just got, welll....Boring. I mean, really boring. I really don't care if he's on tv, but every time he appears there is a sigh of "here we go again" that escapes me. I'm all for anyone getting a title run, b/c it's new and interesting. But until they do that with him, I really couldn't care less.

I think every feud HHH has been involved in with a black wrestler has always had a racial overtone to it... kinda makes ya wonder if trips is a big fan of the NAACP. As far as Booker T goes, why not give him a title run? He may not be as good on the mic as JBL, but he puts on great matches and is over with the crowd. JBL is just so damn boring in the ring. Batista too unfortunately. How the hell can you give titles to Benoit and Guererro, but ignore Booker T? What makes them better? As far as I'm concerned if Booker T or the Undertaker aren't champions come the next wrestlemania then Vince and his whole creative team are a buch of dumb shits.

Booker should be champ and stay face, and a match against Batista could build him up to that point that he just may win. Yeah, I thought HHH was pretty racist in that fued and they should at least gave Book the belt. Sure, he needs improvement on the mic and just change his moves abit, the guy is almost done wrestling so I'd say give him one more shot.

It's better than giving it to Hogan I say and more entertaining to boot.

best match honestly with HHH was at wrestlemania 19 when they fought for the WHC. Great match and it showed that Booker could keep up with HHH move for move.
Great build up and great overall performance

plus you can't beat the spinarooni, that's classic

You know, I really wouldn't mind it if the WWE gave Booker T the title without much build-up. I mean, I am a HUGE advocate of the "keep the title on Batista for ages" movement, but the occasionally title changeon SmackDown! could make the show more interesting.

Have Booker T pin Christian on SmackDown! to end their feud, have Booker T pin Chris Benoit in a Non-Title Match, have Booker T pin JBL & Orlando Jordan in a Handicap Match, have Booker T pin Batista in a Non-Title Match and have Booker T win a televised Royal Rumble on SmackDown! to earn a title shot. Booker T then beats Batista cleanly, and becomes a six-time World Champion. You can then lose the "5-time!" quotes, and the silliness of the spineroonie (it gets much bigger pops when it's out of nowhere), and you can buil up Booker T as a legit World Heavyweight Champion.

I really think it would work.

You could then turn Batista heel, give him Heyman as a mouthpiece, and perhaps have Lesnar return as a heel co-hort of Batista. Batista & Lesnar as WWE Tag Team Champions? Batista & Lesnar constantly trying to destroy Booker T and get the World Heavyweight Championship away from him? That stuff would be classic.
