This is probably a really stupid idea, but...
For some reason I would love to see Ted DiBiase return to RAW as a full-time manager, bringing with him the Million Dollar Championship. Have him lead a "Million Dollar Corporation", using "MDC" as their logo, with whoever holds the Million Dollar Championship being the center of that stable. The MD Champion also gets one million dollars when they win the belt. Hell, why not make it so fantastic that every time they retain the belt they get one million dollars as well?
You could have DiBiase join up with Kurt Angle heading into Unforgiven, with the main event being WWE Champion John Cena vs. Million Dollar Champion Kurt Angle for the WWE Title. Cena retains, and at Taboo Tuesday we get John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title and Kurt Angle vs. Shelton Benjamin for the Million Dollar Championship as respective main events (The WWE Title of course takes priority). Cena loses the belt to Michaels and Angle loses the belt to Benjamin, and Shelton can get some attention while being able to use the catchphrase "It's All About the Benjamins!". I don't know why, but I can see Shelton Benjamin and Ted DiBiase making a pretty good on-screen pairing. Pfft |

I really like the whole idea of bringing Dibiase in and leading a stable. And I love the way you book the Belt with Dibiase giving the guy a million dollars after each win
What I disagree with is putting Angle with Dibiase. Angle is already established as a heel and has tremendous mic skills. You don't need him w/ a manager. But, you go the other way and turn Benjamin heel and allign him with Dibiase, I think it works perfectly. |

That would be the refreshing gimmick change that Benjamin so desperately needs. I think this is one of your better ideas.

I mean logically (I can smell the "WWE? Logic?" jokes coming), if you are a manager you'd be going after the top guy to become one of your clients. I can easily see Angle's character appreciating the association with DiBiase, and I can see DiBiase appreciating Angle's talents taking him places that DiBiase's never took him. Angle can then get replaced by a newer and less-established talent a few weeks into their run. I'm not too sure if he was once associated with DiBiase, but if they were looking for occasionally roles for Vader, he could come in and do some stuff as DiBiase's personal monster. I can see Kane, Chris Masters, Tyson Tomko, Tajiri and Matt Striker all being involved with DiBiase in some way at some point. What I really like about the Million Dollar Man is that he can so easily change the face/heel dynamic of a guy. Striker comes out wearing the MDC colours he's a sell-out heel earing two massive paychecks. He gets beaten down by DiBiase's henchmen due to "cutbacks" and he once again makes a likeable and sympathetic babyface. I seriously think he could turn Matt Hardy heel and Edge face in their feud if Hardy sold-out to DiBiase for some help. Wow, all these storyline ideas are popping up in my head for DiBiase if they chose to bring him back as an on-air commentator. Hardy asking DiBiase to pay Lita to betray Edge and go back out with him could be absolutely chilling stuff. I don't know why, but picturing Hardy hugging Lita with his eyes closed while Lita stares on thinking "I'm doing this for the money" with DiBiase's face looking on excited in the background creates a pretty sick image. For some reason I can see Edge selling his Money in the Bank title shot to DiBiase for a lot of money and a way to remove Hardy from his life permanently. I can see Big Show becoming DiBiase's right hand man, and I can even seen DiBiase "buying" Heat for a night to give his guys easy wins. Hell, I can see DiBiase spreading to SmackDown! creating the first-ever interpromotional stable in the WWE. DiBiase is the lazy way to write storylines for guys and to end feuds and book title matches. If you can't do something with a guy that can explain any sort of occurence with money, then there is no hope for the WWE. |

But you've also got to figure..selling out was overdone with nWo, do you think it would work well in today's wrestling?

DiBiase's awesome. Shelton would be a good choice to partner him with. But heck, anyone with talent and no push could be a good choice. Rene Dupree? Val Venis? Hassan? Someone new from OVW?

Benjamin? Comon. You guys no better then this. WWE writing team would just make Benjamin Dibiase's ' Virgil 2.0 '.

I think it'd also be cool if he returned and became an announcer. For whatever reason, I can picture him being a good announcer.

Too much to reply to, but everyone hear has said good stuff.
![]() DiBiase wouldn't be in an active wrestling role, so I think Shelton will get more attention than Virgil ever did. Val Venis, Rene Dupree, etc. could easily be a part of the MDC, and it could get their current gimmicks away from them. That's just one of the many highlights of bringing DiBiase back. Selling out has been done before, but with DiBiase it would almost be fresh. The nWo really didn't pay, it was just a gang walking around beating the crap out of people. The MDC would be focused on success, etc. I think it would work. DiBiase announcing is something I thought about while creating this thread. He would make a good commentator, IMO, and I can easily see him doing that on Heat, or during his guys matches (which would be quite often). |

Hey, bring in Tatanka, then have a running feud with Chris Masters.
"You so' out, Chris. Why don't you just tell everyone you so' out?" Then at Summerslam, DiBiase viciously attacks Masters and sides with Tatanka. Totally unprecedented! Seriously, though, DiBiase works very well as both a manager and a commentator, so I would love to see him back either way. I like what Alienoid came up with. ![]() |
