Any idea what this virus is or how you can get rid of it?

It's called Dropper.Welder.A. My friend got it, she's not sure how, she thinks it might be from Live Journal. Anyways anyone had this or heard of this before and maybe know how to get rid of it?

I couldnt find much about it, just other people asking what it is. It seems to be a trojan that drops something nasty into your boot sector of a drive.

Seeing as I couldnt find bugger all on this trojan All i can suggest is get a copy or norton in there and try to get rid of it that way.

Sidle Jinks does not have that much rep yet (10+)
Try using DrWeb antivirus (http://www.drweb.ru). If that doesn't help, just send the file you suspect to be infected to SidleJinks@techemail.com and I will do my best to help you.

Good luck.
