Iron Man match on WWE Homecoming

Monday Night RAW will be heading back home to the USA Network on Oct. 3. The historic three-hour RAW will start at 7:55 p.m. ET.

Many former WWE Champions will be on hand for "WWE Homecoming" on Oct. 3, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley and the return of Triple H. Also, a host of WWE legends will be a part of the historic, star-studded evening. Many legends already confirmed for Oct. 3 include:

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim, Superstar Billy Graham, The Iron Sheik, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Harley Race, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Chief Jay Strongbow, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff and Koko B. Ware.

Also, several huge matches have been signed for "WWE Homecoming," including Edge vs. Matt Hardy in a "Loser Leaves RAW, Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match" and General Manager Eric Bischoff vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship.

And it has just been announced that Shawn Michaels will take on Kurt Angle in a 30-minute WWE Iron Man Match.

RAW flourished during its seven-year run on USA network, establishing cable rating records as WWE fans flocked to the television each and every Monday night. And it’s happening all over again, so don’t miss RAW on Oct. 3 for this televised homecoming.

is'nt it awful weird that the exact day after tna announces a 30 minute iron man match for their next ppv that wwe announces one for raw on oct.3

not that the match wont blow the damn roof off but i think it sucks that vince is obviously copying tna this time

It's called competition, and its definately a good thing. I mean, look what we're getting because of it - two classic ironman matches.

I think the significant think is that perhaps Vince has taken notice of TNA and has subconciously recognised the threat.

YES! Angle vs. Michaels at Homecoming! I knew this would be coming. The Iron man stipulation is a bit of a surprise, as I figured they would do that at Taboo Tuesday or something for the #1 Contender's spot. I suppose they can give it away on USA. I agree they should bump it to an hour, as Angle and Michaels deserve that time, but you have to remember this is their first show. A lot of people might be tuning in for the first time, so they may not be familiar with the characters, or have the patience to take in an hour-long match.

Angle and Michaels can go an hour on PPV or on another RAW, though.

On a side note, I really hope they keep the Homecoming-style graphics for RAW from now on. I like the grey-ish design, and I think RAW needs a bit of a change, if only slightly.

They could really put this show on DVD. The Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the Iron Man Match make this a must have. I think we will all be surprised by the awesomeness of Cena vs. Bischoff. It won't be a technical masterpiece, but I think it will be a hot way to end the show.

I'd rather see either a Shelton Benjamin/HBK or Shelton Benjamin/Angle for 30 minutes since I'm a Benjamin mark But I'll take HBK/Angle. It's gonna be sweet.

30 minutes and "iron man" dont belong together.

Every other one of their matches lasted close to 30 minutes..and it took them that long to get a pinfall or submission victory. What, suddenly they will have multiple pinfalls in this match in 30 minutes? Stupid concept.

I doubt this match equals their others.
