Who Else Thinks Matt Hardy Fucked Up?
So, he was coming off the biggest event of his career: the end of it.

With all the internet hype and rumors flying around, Matt Hardy's name had more money written to it since he and Jeff ceased being "The Hardy Boyz." He could have gone to the independents and made huge amounts of money before securing a top tier spot with the up and coming TNA. HE could be challenging for the NWA Title instead of Kevin Nash.

But alas, he took the other road and rejoined the WWE. Since his return he has been made to look like a bitch (not counting his win at Unforgiven), and his return angle was completely fucked up. Now he's on the way to Friday night hell with the rest of the unlucky Smackdown members, probably to do some jobs for JBL and Christian, and possibly fight for the US Title.

Who else thinks he made a horrible, horrible business decision?

Even if he main events every indy show he goes to, he's not going to make what he's payed in WWE. Also, chances are, TNA wasn't going to pay him more either. How many casual fans actually go to indy shows, and see indy shows. WWE gives him exposure, sells merchandise, etc.

And I hate to say it, because I like Matt, but building a company around him would be suicide... Hardy as TNA champ COULDN'T last.

No, no, don't kid yourself son, Hardy has been made to look like a bitch.

1 - Attacking Edge at random (pussy shots)
2 - Showing up in Vince McMahon's limo (the boss' stooge)
3 - Getting knocked unconscious in his first match against Edge (just WTF?)
4 - Getting taken out by Lita (self explanatory)
5 - Coming Soon: Matt Hardy loses the ladder match and goes to Smackdown.


The idea isn't just the money though, it's about being happy with what you do. Frankie Kazarian came to the WWE and wasn't happy, so he left for the indies. Less money, more happiness. Hardy could have taken to the indies and cashed in on his face value (which, at the time, we very very high) before moving to TNA where he would have recieved a main event push, plus being reunited with his brother.

Bottom line: he would have been better off somewhere else. Now that his feud with Edge is 24 hours from being over, what else does he have to do in the WWE?

After every time he has been beaten though he has gotten back up.

Also Eveytime he lost he usually took a lot of punishment the night before.

He's booked to look tenacious, like he won't give up. He is the underdog afterall. Anyway, given your examples, you could make nealy anyone in the lockerroom look like a pussy.

And since you don't know what makes Hardy happy, you can't really claim he isn't happy in the WWE. Even without money, it's national exposure.

Anyone who thinks that Matt Hardy should of gone to TNA if he had a deal with the WWE on the table is ridiculous. Matt Hardy would be making tons more on Smackdown then he would be in TNA. Matt Hardy is on good terms with the WWE and that was where he was developed, why would he jump ship for a company that hasn't been proved yet? Hardy knew he was going to get placed in a hot angle in WWE and make a lot more money, no way he was going to TNA.

You see, this storyline has been done a few times before in wrestling. The babyface gets beat on and beat on and beat on and then makes a huge comeback that the fans want to see. In this case, Matt kept getting killed because of his "Injury" He suffered a lot of blows to the head and was neevr 100%; of course he wasn't going to win. The announcers only played that up during his matches about 500 times. Even the marks understood that he was in bad shape. But he never quit and that's why the whole deal worked.

Seems to me like after he looses tonight, he will go to SD! and at Wrestle Mainia 22 have a rematch (interpromotional) with Edge, and Mat will go over on the biggest stage of them all. I dont think it will really be "over" tonight.

I think Matt will do well on smackdown, that show will suit him more, and then I think he'll be fighting for the US title.Don't see what there is to be negative about.

I can see the ending now for the ladder match:Matt is near to the suitcase then just as he is about to grab it, Lita grabs his leg allowing Edge to climb the ladder and win the match... can't wait for the match though, havent been this excited about a Raw in a while.

maybe..just maybe the top draws in the company are feeling overshadowed by this angle - and some mid-card guy that was part of a tag team that jobbed their asses out for a long time before actually winning a match ( if some of you are going "the Hardy's jobbing? - you obviously never watched WWF SUPERSTARS in the mid 90's)

To call TNA "unproven" is ridiculous. They are the number two promotion in the US, they just got a TV deal with Spike, and they have proven that they can put on exciting, fast paced wrestling shows on a regular basis. The addition of Matt Hardy would have made a difference, and Hardy would have been treated better in TNA than he is in the WWE. Rhino is a prime example of this.

I've been watching wrestling for six years, thanks, and I've seen this angle done many times, but it was done much, much better. When you've got a guy in an angle as hot as Matt Hardy's was two months ago, you don't bring him in to play an "injured underdog" angle. You bring him in as a fucking bad ass ready to destroy everything to get what he wants. They started with that direction, but at Summerslam everything fell to shit when they started the "head injury" angle. I would have loved to have seen a vicious, angry, determined Matt Hardy pummeling the holy shit out of Edge, with a screwjob ending to continue the feud.

The head injury angle hasn't helped at all. The only thing it's done is given Matt Hardy a shitty angle to play off of, and a loss to Rob fucking Conway.

When Hardy loses tonight, that's pretty much going to be it. WWE has already stated that they see Hardy as a mid-carder and little else; I'm sure that this demotion to Smackdown and the coming months will prove this.

LOL, Holy shit. You are biting off way more then you can chew here. Don't test me on stuff you have no clue about. Six Years of watching wrestling OMG. Maybe you should get your facts straight before going head on into a discussion like this. Your driving without a steering wheel and you've already crashed.

First of all, TNA IS NOT proven. It will be proven when it's going head to head with the WWE. It will be proven when it's traveling around the country from venue to venue with more then a few hundred people inside. It will be proven when somehow they manage to turn a profit. It will be proven when they have stars that can actually draw money. TNA is lucky Panda energy didn't pull the plug on them and they are lucky they have all this money to play with because thier financials sure haven't been on the up side.

Number 2 comany Can we even say this? The WWE is light years ahead of any company right now, that it shouldn't even be mentioned with the other companies. How about we just say TNA is the #1 minor-league wrestling company today and leave it at that.

Name some underdog angles in the last six years and we can argue if they were done better.

Bret, HBK, and Sting did it and it worked for them.

Your points about the angle not working are pretty dumb considering the angle HAS DRAWN MONEY FOR THE WWE. Hardy/Edge segments have been high, the feud has been getting nothing but praise, and the audiences were extemelly into the whole angle from start to finish. Just because it didn't go your way, you think that it sucked. shut up and stop acting like a mark.

Hardy IS A Midcarder. He can't cut a promo to save his life and that's mostly the reason they went the way they did with him. He's NOT the guy you want carrying the company. There is about 10 other guys ahead of him that could do that. Yea, let him go to TNA and win thier Title and watch that company sink.

And did you also notice that during his match with Conway, JR and King didn't even talk about Conway or even play up Conway's win at all. Conway was a forgotten soul in that match. It was all Edge/Hardy. That's called pyschology. And when fans here about all this talk about Edge and Hardy, they won't even remember Conway got a win over him. Conway wasn't made to look like anything special in that match. That match was done to PLAY OFF HARDY'S INJURY. They WANTED TO BUILD THAT HEAD INJURY SO THE FANS COULD SYMPATHIZE WITH HIM. GET IT?

It makes sense to seperate Edge and Hardy because thier feud is over and they are moving on to other programs. Edge is moving on to work with Big Show or maybe even Foley I heard to move him to the World Title picture.

Hardy should stay in that upper-mid card level on Smackdown and maybe I might even give him a chance at the Title considering how over he has been. Since it's Smackdown, maybe even a short-term run with the belt just to see how he handles it.

Not hard to grasp here.

Now about my two cents (if any) on Matt, this was not a mistake except for the fact that he did believe he was gonna get a giant push, which remains to be seen. The guy was on SD! for a year and in actuallity, he was on Velocity more than SD and sure he could have pulled a Kazarian and leave, but... he stayed. He wasn't even midcard most of the time, but he sticked with it, either for the money or he just loves the company.

Hardy, like his brother, could not be headline TNA as the champ and it just wouldn't sell, except for say AJ, Samoa, or Daniels v. Matt. SD is probably his home now because on Raw, with all the big guys on that roster, this is his best bet for some notice like before.

I own the phrase on TPWW . I used it one day in the casual, then in a promo and all of a sudden, everyone was using it. I remember cause I was like what's the dorkiest phrase I could put here and thus it began.
