Chad Johnson: CB Killer?
For those that don't know what im talking about it was shown last week on NFL Primetime that Bengals WR Chad Johnson has a list of every team the Bengals face this year and each CB he will supposedly destroy that day. So far he has yet to be stopped as he has taken down:
Cleveland CB Gary Baxter Minnesota CB Fred Smoot Chicago CB Jerry Azumah Houston CB Dunta Robinson Jacksonville CB Rashean Mathis is next I believe So place your bets on who stops him(meaning under 50 yards that game and no TD) ![]() Destiny!!!!! ![]() (Credit:Hired Hitman and Marcyo ) |

The only way I see him finishing a game with under 50 yds and no TDs is if he gets hurt. He's a stud.

They all like to have fun. But they back it up, I met them all at training camp in G-Town KY and they are all nice guys. Chad Johnson even goes to talk to kids in the stands when he goes to the sideline.

Chad Johnson is the man. He is crazy cocky but at the same time he isn't. When asked about the list he really stressed "IF" he out plays them. Also, he did not put himself on the same level as a lot of other guys because he hasn't won a Superbowl, or been to the playoffs yet. He is flat out the man. TD celebrations are hilarious.

When he got interviewed by ESPN he said he wouldn't put himself on the same level as TO, or Torry Holt since they've been to Superbowls. Or guys like Harrison since they have been to the playoffs. He said a lot of other shit that made him seem cool - maybe when he was on primetime like that tho he had to show off.

It was one of those skits, but it was Johnson just standing there and talking. Basically pumping himself up. Saying no one can stop him and he was the best reciever in the NFL.
Superbowls and playoffs are team things. If you are the best at your position. Then you are plain and simple the best. I think he's probably the best right now. |

But in his mind being the best receiver means you have to make the playoffs.

Peter King on the radio today and they asked him about Chad Johnsons. King's first response "He's a friging Physcho".
King went on to explain, that Chad has a cot in the pratice facility, and sleeps there alot and will call Marvin Lewis at 1am and say things like "Hey, I just had this great idea for the offense". Now, the 2nd part isn't hugely unheard of, but it's typically done by a QB calling the OC (Brady was known to Call Weiss). King went on to say that CJ is a good WR, not best in the league, even though he would never want T.O. on his team he feels T.O. is the best WR. "T.O. is the best WR in the league, but I wouldn't want him on my team, he's the biggest ego-maniac in the league". He had a few other comments good and bad, that I don't remember word for word, but was interesting. Basiclly felt CJ is a good WR, given too much leeway/power and he hurts Lewis and Lewis may eventually trade him to improve the team. |

Yeah I bet every coach wishes they had a receiver that was hurting them so much they were 4-1.

It's kinda funny though because these receivers have had team success. Keyshawn won a Super Bowl, TO went to the Super Bowl, Moss went to the NFC Championship game, Steve Smith broke his teammates face and then played in the Super Bowl, hell even Marvin Harrison has people complaining about him. And of course let's not forget Michael Irvin. I guess it's a problem teams are willing to deal with.

Clearly, he was getting at some control issue that Lewis is having with him. Also, he was very clear it would be to improve the team, not just dump a player. |

Peter King obviously knows his stuff, I would say that him and Clayton are probably the Gammons' of the NFL, but I kind of disagree with him there. Obviously he knows stuff about their locker room etc. that we don't, but I don't see him being bad for that team.
