Why did Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart Hate each other?
What was going on between them to make them hate each other so much? Anyone know?



On RAW, you’ve got Batista with muscles to spare.
But he’s got charisma, like Tomko’s got hair.

You got Triple H and Ric Flair, their legend still grows.
26 titles between them, and the world’s biggest nose.

It's because Shawn refused to job to the hitman. Shawn was into Drugs and asshole back then to pretty much anyone.

Also HBK was a baby he would take his ball and go home every time he didn't get what he wanted. Shawn also would always make shoot comments during their feud for example Sunny days comment.

Many personal reasons were behind it, HBK acted like such a cunt backstage before Jesus found him. I think it started when Shawn spread rumors that Bret was having an affair with Sunny though.

Bret dropped the title at wm12 to shawn with the understanding that shawn would drop the title back to bret at the next wrestlemainia (thats 13 you idiots)- then they would form a kick-ass tag team. infact they had worked out a great finish where bret would break shawns ankle with the ankle lock ( gimmicked boot and sound effects) but..

Shawn michaels was at this time running around wreaking havoc - refusing to job to anyone. SO when it came to job to bret shawn came up with this "i lost my smile and injured my knee " shit because he didn't want to job to bret.
He gave the title up.

believe it was after this that HBK insinuated that Bret was banging Sunny ( and if he was! I say ya! cuz he got "it" while it was good..you should see "it" now) So bret caught him by his hair and flung him across the

anyway..by now the shit had hit the fan - Bret tried to be proffsional with HBK but HBK was acting like a bitch and flat out refused to job to bret.

Fast forward to Montreal : Bret refused to job the title to shawn THAT NIGHT..he had no problem losing..but just not at montreal or in canada..
if you don't know what happened next you should de-register from this site and never watch wrestling again..

and even up to today Bret thinks sahwn is a "chicken shit,. back stabber"

Some say however that the heat between them started during their tag match (Rockers vs. Hart Foundation) when The Rockers won the titles but then had the decision reversed off camera (that time when the ring ropes fell off). Aparently someone had told The Rockers that Hart had pulled some strings to have the decision made to tage the tag titles off of them.

Also, from my understand Bret and Shawn never really liked each other to begin with. Mostly a personality clash. I mean look at the two, Bret always wants to be the hero, and is rather whiney. HBK always wants to be the spot light, and can act like a real bitch when things don't go his way. Neither were exactly easy to work with either, Bret always had hang ups with being a heel or losing in Canada. And as well all know Shawn is one of the biggest politicians this side of Hogan. So, even before the whole "screw job" thing (which is mostly Bret screwing Bret anyhow), and Shawn losing his smile thing, I don't think the two would have ever been best of friends.

That's bollocks for 2 big reasons.

1 - Shawn and Bret were very much friends up until 1996. Bret and Marty Jannetty have never fallen out.

2 - Bret Hart was told he was getting a big singles push when told of the decision to drop the titles to the Rockers. When Neidhart was rehired, Bret was upset he was still in a tag team and not going single like he wanted.
