Not best ever, but possibly the best of '05. There is something to be said for having a competent PBP man. There's even more to be said about an excellent one. Hmm. This got me in an ECW mood. Maybe I'll watch Barely Legal tonight.

It wasn't revolutionary or anything, but it had:

* Joey Styles instead of Jim Ross.
* The long-awaited new character for "Gregory" Helms.
* The return of the most hated heel of 2005, Daivari.
* An excellent Shelton/Carlito match.
* Quite a bit of "A" for the fans of T&A.
* The start of what could be the best heel tandem since the Two-Man Power Trip.

Granted, any show that has Chris Masters in the main event can't be all good, but the show had more +s than -s this week (which I haven't been able to say many times this year).

In the Vince pissed at Coach post, we mentioned that the main problem was Angle getting cheered over Cena. I'd say that solved that with Daivari and bleeping out the "You Suck" chants. Hearing the theme was marvelous. And think, if he hadn't walked, a Hassan and Angle team, just picture the heat that would have brought.

And I'd be remiss not to mention Joey f'n Styles. He kept on top of the action pretty good, even when getting cut off by the Coach and Lawler. I loved the line about having so much hair. "How can he not (pull the hair)? It'd take 4 hands just to pull it all!" And he added ALOT to the Main Event. Let's face, I don't think King could have gotten emotional enough to sell how HBK and Cena were getting screwed. He was fucking Gordon Solie, Gorilla Monsoon, and JR all in one human being, and it showed.

It was the best Raw in a while. I'm a mark for Davari, I almost creamed my pants in a nonsexual way when Joey Styles was seen on TV, I'm starting to watch the whole "Trish/Mickie" thingie for the storyline, Helms hit the Shining Wizard, even Conway wasn't that bad, Shelton hit Carlio with a Block Buster, Even Masters wa... nevermind... Oh, and when Shelton just asked Carltio "Are you high" I almost died laughing!

I thought it was just a regular OK raw....

I loved the Kurt Angle complaining thing....I thought it was pretty funny

I can honestly say I marked out when I heard Daivari's music....I thought it was Muhammad Hussan returning to Raw and I was going nuts....still Daivari brings in a close second
