xbox 360 games getting mediocre reviews...

I've been checkin out reviews for xbox 360 and most of them are actually pretty bad. Like most are in the 7's...which is pretty bad and in most of them the graphics are said to be "not so great"...as a matter of fact they're like the first xbox's graphics and some are even worse (like Gun).

So um...are these games just there for the time being? Like, just so you can have somehting to play until the REAL and upgraded/better looking games come out?

I hope cause Perfect Dark Zero's graphics look acceptable, but if I compare them to halo 2's and Chronicles of Riddick's graphics...they don't mezmerize.

God, I hope these first games being put out there are just some crap "meanwhile" games until some betetr shit comes out.

The first games that come out arent going to be that good graphically.

The developers need to learn the new system.

However, there are many games to look forward to like Alan Wake and Oblivion. CHECK OUT THE ALAN WAKE TRAILER. The 2nd one.

I think people were just expecting too much when they should already realize by now that new game system launches arent much different than the currently exsisting systems. The only thing is that the new systems have the capacity to get better while the currently exsisting ones are at the end of their cycle.

I don't know, most of them are mid to high 8's. Which is a very good score. Don't forget they are launch titles as well as the fact that the Xbox 360 isn't pretty much Xbox 1.5 rather then Xbox 2.

Call of Duty 2 and Kameo look good, but I'm comparing that to PS2 graphics, not Xbox.

I would say launch titles are some of the most important games for a system. I understand that the games will only get better, but I'm waiting to see whether the 360 will have any game to jump behind.

Now launch titles don't always matter. The Sega Dreamcast should be evidence of that. It had some of the best launch titles for a system ever and it went to the dogs pretty quickly.

It seems like this generation shift has the littlest different graphically out of all the generation shifts we've seen. Think about the difference between N64 and Gamecube, it was immensely different. X-box and X-box 360? Not so much

that's what worries me. It used to be changing a console for much better graphics. Now it's changing console cause it's become a competition and we wanna sell more.

BTW, Alan Wake was the first game that looked SIC. That's whats so weird, is Alan Wake gonna be what Ninja Gaiden was for Xbox? Like, one of those few rare really good games while the others are just a couple of hideous notches below-type of thing. Hope not.

And also, the only reason why I'm considering an Xbox at the moment is the fact that I can't even begin to imagien how much ass Halo 3 and 4 are gonna kick.

I've played Kameo. It's pretty good actually. The transformation thing is really cool, and the controls are great.

btw what's the deal with Perfect Dark Zero? ANy good? I saw the video review...god dammit, why is it that the "graphics" factor is the most common deficiency.

They say when in battle, it's beautiful...but when up close, hideous.

This keeps annoying the shit out of me. New consoles...great graphics should be like a common thing now.

However, I read resident Evil 5 will also be launching on XBOX 360, so I guess Halo 3 isn't the only game to look out for.

Still, though, arg. CHOICES. Ah screw it, probably gonna buy both.

lol, anyone considering buying a 360 right now should wait.

I've heard reports on GameFAQs, Gamespot, IGN, etc. of people putting in a game for the FIRST TIME, playing it, and pulling the disc out to find it completely scratched and the console unusable. Apparently Microsoft's tech support phones are ringing off the hook.

It's not ALL of them, so anyone who got one has a chance of getting a good one, but far more people are pissed off about the quality of the console right now than are pleased with it.

That happened with my first Xbox, actually.

But except of the CD's ending up being scratched, the console just overloaded and the little green light around the ejct button started flashing orange. It blew up. So i returned it and got another one...and that one kept making weird fuckin "tick" sounds from the inside. However I stuck with it and when i put the chip to play burned games in it, the sound never plagued my ears again. Which goes to tell you something in this machine was also fucked.

All that just to justify your call on waiting...
I'm never buying an Xbox right ahead ever again.
I'm just gonna wait a few months.
