how many PCs have you got connected to your router? Do they run static IPs?

would also help to tell us which router you're using, do you have DHCP on?
Most likely you have 2 computers configured to get the same IP from your router. Do this on each computer connected to your router: 1. Right click my network places and go to properties, or go to start - connect to - show all connections 2. right click on "local area connection" and go to properties 3. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click properties 4. If "obtain ip address automatically" is checked, check what the IP address is on each computer, and make sure the last digit of the IP address is different on every comp. If it isn't, it's probably safe to change the last digit of the IP address by 1 increment (IP address should be different, but DNS settings should be the same on each) if that doesn't help then i have no idea |

I'm using a Wireless-G Broadband Router. My brother set everything up, but then the wireless thing stopped working, so he used a cable. But I unplugged the cable that goes to his laptop cause he never uses it and I was worried it was slowing down my download speed.
However, in the past 2 days it hasn't been acting like a jackass for some reason. So, I guess I'm good for the time being. Also, I did the whole thing you said Gohan...except when I reach the TCP/IP part (and it does say obtain) it doesn't actually have any IP's written down. Everything's blank and gray. Sooo, dunno what that means exactly. |

if it's on obtain IP address automatically on every comp, then what I said isn't the problem
It's probably something in your router configuration |
