Remember when I wrote to the BBC about Chris Moyles? I got a reply!
Dear Mr Youell
Thank you for your e-mail. I apologise for the rather crass and insensitive comments Chris Moyles made on the Radio 1 breakfast show concerning the death of Eddie Guerrero. I accept that Chris over-stepped the mark making a joke about 'carrying the coffin' as well as illustrating his ignorance about the circumstances of the wrestler's death. In Chris' defence he also said 'it is sad' and 'our thoughts and prayers go out to his family'. I have subsequently spoken to the team and impressed on them that these comments were not only insensitive but also offensive. The whole team accept that they were in the wrong. May I take this opportunity to once again apologise for any offence or distress we may have caused. Yours faithfully Rhys Hughes Executive Producer, BBC Radio 1 -------------------------- Better late than never I guess THE OPTIMISTS! Sounds a bit like the avenger's.
the avenger![]() Dear Mr Browne Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Chris Moyles'. Please accept our apologies for the delay in replying. We know our correspondents appreciate a quick response and we are sorry you have had to wait on this occasion. I understand you were annoyed by Chris Moyles' remarks about the death of the wrestler Eddie Guerrero. Rhys Hughes the Executive Producer at BBC Radio 1 had the following to say: "I apologise for the rather crass and insensitive comments Chris Moyles made on the Radio 1 breakfast show concerning the death of Eddie Guerrero. Therefore please be assured that your complaint has been registered and placed on an audience log which is made available to all members of the BBC including senior management. Thank you again for taking the time to contact the BBC with your complaint. Regards Louise O'Doherty BBC Information And Drakul's. Drakul![]() Thank you for your e-mail. Yeah there's a couple topics like this.
Look's like they sent a template out to us all. Nice to see they really care about the individual. |

Am I the only one that thinks if Chris Moyles had said something about George Best passing away, the way he said stuff about Eddie, he would be out of a job and missing a few limbs by now?

No doubt about it. Or even moreso Ronnie Barker?
They were all entertainers at the top of their respective fields who helped millions have a good time. But its ok to take the piss out of the AMERICAN Wrestler |

no its just because he was a wrestler. Not nessicerily* American. Everyone has this image of wrestlers being 400 Lbs lard asses with mullets that failed school and have no brains and have bowls of roids for breakfast. So its ok to treat there deaths like light little jokes. Which bugs me because in my opinion a wrestler EARNS his fame and money. Traveling everywhere, taking bumps night in and night out etc. No offence to any football fans but really Football players have it pretty easy in comparison and there treated like gods and taking there deaths lightly is like peeing on the crucifix and quran simultaniously. I mean football players are payed millions to be famous and play a game they have played since they could stand up. Oops I think I'm a few miles off topic now
