The same thing that has happend the past two years will happen this year. They will be a sub .500 team for most of the season. String together a couple of decent victories towards the end of the season. Win one game in the Big Ten tournament and get invited into the NIT . FUCK THAT SHIT. We've lost to Indiana FUCKING ST. 3 out of 4 years now. HOLT FUCKING CHRIST.

Davis wasnt even calling plays tonight. He was sitting there looking pretty and bitching to the refs. You know its gunna be a long night when Davis comes in with a bewildered look on his face. Usually we can survive a game if that look happens like.. after 15 minutes of the game, but when he has that game face on before tip. Its over. The guy has no clue wtf he's doing. Its unbelievable. I cant believe he got a bonus last year.

Ok, you're upset because Mike Davis' team of players he recruited lost to the BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY and then lost focus against a team they should've destroyed. UNC overlooked Santa Clara last year and got upset as well. Then they went on to win the National Championship and all was forgotten. So in otherwords, it was one stupid game early in the season and it doesn't mean anything so quit crying you pussy.

I don't think the school's name alone does the recruiting, that's a stupid comment. So why do the coaches bust their asses to get certain players to come to their college, they aren't just like 'Hey i coach UCLA baby, I don't need to try and convince you outta that gutter of a neighborhood, come join us!'

Its not one game. Its been 4 years.

Crimson. There are a handful of schools in both Football and Basketball that recruit themselves. UNC, IU, Kansas, Notre Dame, Kentucky are just some to name a few. Mike Davis has gotten decent recruits, but honestly you could put a division 2a coach in this position and he could have a top recruiting class. Its what Mike Davis has done with these recruits( which is absolutley nothing ) that has everyone in Indiana pissed off. He's had plenty of time to put a winning program out there. Its inexcusable.

If someone who knew what the hell they were doing, was coaching when they played Duke last week. IU would have won that game. The last 3 minutes of that game, IU players had no clue what they were doing and where was Mikey Davis ? Sitting there looking clueless with them. So Duke comes back and wins the game. Then he doesnt even have his team prepared for Indiana St. Come on! I would by the letdown argument if we hadnt lost to ISU 3 out of the last 4 years. This guy should step down.

Indiana wasnt expected to get past the first round. They got red hot and road it to the final game. He did some decent coaching tho. I'll give him that. He's been shit every since. He's had some of the best recruiting classes in 3 years and he hasnt done dick with them.

Rectal is right actually, and it's the same situation going on at my school.

Mike Davis has underachieved. He got to the National Championship game in his first year, with Bob Knights players, you can't give him credit forever. They were an NIT team last year I believe, and for Indiana basketball that's unacceptable.

He may not have been godawful, but when you have thirty some years of Bobby Knight, you tend to expect good teams. When a good college program begins to lose games, they lose support from alumni and boosters, it's the same thing that happened with Notre Dame last year (no, not racism, sorry). With a team like Indiana, you have to win. It will be hard for basically anybody available to do much better, but it's just the way it works in college sports.

Finally, it really is just stupid to imply that the lure of playing for Indiana isn't a HUGE asset in recruiting. The same coach at say, Ohio State, wouldn't have nearly the success, plain and simple.

FYI Ohio State has been to 9 Final Fours. Indiana has been to 8.

Anyways. Mike Davis needs to resign . A lesser school with less tradition like Mississipi St. might be able to put up with such lack of production from there coach, but it should not be tolerated by IU. I dont care what color he is. It doesnt matter. What matters is that he's done a horrible job coaching these kids and its shown the past 3 years.

2-27 from the 3point line. ISU could have beat Kentucky today. I really like how you take 1 game against a underachieving #15 team and use it as a reason for him to keep his job.
