RAW Notes (just a few)

Yes, folks, I was there live. It's pretty amazing to see everything in person: the Titantron, the commentator crew...Lilian Garcia...

But yeah, I had pretty decent seats, not too far from the commentator's booth and the entrance ramp, so I had a decent view of everything.

A funny note. On TV, it happened before RAW came back from commercial, but I was talking to my girlfriend about something wrestling-related, and she asked me where John Cena was from. Just as I was about to answer...

ALLALLLEEYYYAALALLELELEYYYAAALLLEEYYAALELEYYAAAA...

I was Daivari'd!! It was great, perfect timing too.

And I am sad to announce that my girlfriend is now a John Cena mark. No, not a smark that happens to like John Cena, but a Cena MARK. Like she marked out for him. She's a fan "in the know", and I've seen to that, but she still loves the guy. I kept cringing everytime I was forced to stand up whenever John Cena came out or did something exciting like sneeze.

After RAW went off the air, Cena challenged Angle to an impromptu title match, because "screw Vince, he ain't here anymore." So they fought a decent match, but the referee disqualified Cena when he wouldn't break a 5-count while Angle was in the ropes. So Cena teased F-U'ing the ref...and did it. Then he brought in a local DJ from some rap station, Romero from 94.5 FM, and raised his hands and whatnot.

My chants of "FU DJ" went unnoticed.

Also, I nearly yelled "Stand back! There's a hurricane comin' through!" during the quiet moments of Helms' matchup for Heat.

Also, when Vince came out near the beginning, the crowd couldn't hear a word he was saying at first, whcih is why he switched mics. Same with Matt Striker later on, which he blamed us for.

So, I got to see Dusty Rhodes in an on-camera role for the first time since RAW's Homecoming, the debut of Matt Striker's new heel character, TWO mic screw-ups, a women's match with Mickie James and her fine ass , and Vince McMahon on the Tron no less than 5 times.

It was a pretty damn good night. I suggest you watch RAW live if you never have before. You must do it at least once.
