I want to make a game run without the cd

I have a game that came out during Win95, so it has no security of any kind. I already copied all the files off the cd into a new folder on my desktop. When I click the .exe file to run the game, it says it needs the cd. So how would I go about running the game without the cd? I would like to do without other software, like daemon tools. A buddy of mine did this to a game of mine years ago, so I know it's possible to do without other software.
