I don't think so. He was that guy who got booted from Tough Enough for lying about his age. He may have had a small gimmick before this, but as far as I know, he was always Boogeyman in OVW.

He had the gimmick 'Liar' Marty Wright for a while in OVW and then became the Boogeyman. He pretty much headed to WWE after the character debuted. (Lead to Cornette's firing)
