How to give SmackDown! some name power...
Alright, so SmackDown! needs some assistance (once more). How do you help them out? I would probably have Theodore Long claim a prize for winning the inter-brand feud. That prize? All the superstars SmackDown! lost in the draft lottery, including those in the huge trade, that are not currently RAW Champions.
So SmackDown! essentially gets back Kurt Angle, Carlito, Rob Van Dam (a few people wouldn't be too happy with that, but he would arguably get a better push on SmackDown!), Chavo Guerrero, Danny Basham & Rene Dupree. I don't think I am missing anyone. Candice and Torrie could be argued as well, but you could consider them a seperate trade as to leave them doing their thing on RAW. Again, you could argue Daivari was involved in the draft, and is no longer on SD!, so he should come back (provided UPN would allow it). That gives SmackDown! three or four main eventers (depending on whether or not you include being involved in Angle's antics and the occasional tag team headliner main eventing), more potential cruiserweights, two potential tag team reformations (The Basham Brothers and La Resistance respectfully, although feuds with their old partners in the mid-card would probably benefit the overall product more than them re-joining the tag ranks) and it frees up some room on RAW for the forgotten guys like Val Venis, Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade. What would you do to help SmackDown! recover from its current lack of roster depth? Pfft |
