Sorry, but this needs to be said
I'm tired and annoyed of Chavo pretty much riding Eddie's coatails. The whole using Eddie's finisher and constantly pointing to the sky is old already. anyone agree?

Well whether he's pointing to the sky or doing his Uncle's finisher or not, I still think the fans will relate Chavo to Eddie everytime they see him wrestle, so why not give Eddie recognition? I think Chavo just realizes that he's the biggest reminder to fans of Eddie, and he seems proud of that, as I think he should.

I agree with what Taker Fan said to a point. There's no reason why Chavo shouldn't acknowledge Eddie, because even if he doesn't, the fans will. WIth that said, cut down on using the Frogsplash, and go back the the Gory bomb.

I wouldn't mind seeing Chavo do the little Latino Heat dance to hulk up, or the con hilo more common, but I would save the frog splash for big matches. Like if he fought someone like Angle, and he just couldn't put him away no matter what he did, maybe have him resort to the frog splash to win. It would keep the move special and memorable.

Why are people like LL cool G getting so annoyed over this?Eddie is on Chavo's mind everytime he's in the ring, so naturally this is his way of remembering Eddie.I think it was a good move not having him lose to Masters so soon after Eddies death.

i dont mind it at all. its good that WWE are showing that eddie's still on their minds and they've not forgotten about him. I think if they made Chavo world champion etc then it'd be a bit stupid but letting him use eddie's finisher is fine.

They'll stop doing it after a while when Chavo has sorted himself out or whatever.

I see no problem with it. He deserved a push anyways. Him beating the clock with Masters wasn't that far fetched either considering Chavo has had so much more ring time and experience.

But back on topic, I agree with LL Cool G sorta, but let's face it, Eddy Guerrero is still fresh on the fan's minds so they might as well milk this Eddy tribute gimmick. Even for Rey Mysterio's matches the fans still chant for Eddy. It's a short term gimmick. Give it time, it'll pass and Chavo will start to come into his own persona.

Jesus read my post ass! I said it's not just the frogsplash , it's EVERYTHING! His whole friggen gimmick is doing everything Eddie did. The tribute match he did with JBL was nice and all but move on, develop your own persona.

IT is hugely far fetched after Masters has pretty much destroyed everybody in short matches and now he can't beat a guy who in all likelyhood would be jobbing to val venis on heat if Eddie hadn't died

I'm more pissed at the way Rey is being used but that's another story. I respect the fact that Chavo is paying tribute to Eddie but he has to stop doing the Frog Splash because he can't do it.

I have to say, though, to be honest.

It's cool to be remembering Eddie, but the frrogsplash has to go. Why? Because he barely is able to uncurl himself before hitting the canvas. WTF? I agree with LK. He needs to stop doing the splash because he sucks at it (with all due respect).

I do agree that something looks off about Chavo's Frog Splash. If he can pull it off, I say go for it, though.

What I don't like about Chavo's thing at the moment, is that the fans chant "Eddie" constantly. I mean, sure, let's pay respect to the guy, but can't we do it by chanting "Chavo"? I feel really awkward after saying that, because the "Eddie" chants are pro-Chavo as well, and are meant in a positive light, but I wold much rather hear the fans chanting for Chavo if they want him to win.

Chavo isn't riding Eddie's coattails. The last time I saw Chavo competing, I looked to see if he had an Eddie armband, and he didn't. Chavo has moved on and is ready to begin the next stage of his career. It is the fans that are dwelling on Eddie, and I don't think that's necissarily a bad thing, because the man deserves to be remembered.

And just like WCW did with Bret Hart when Owen died, the WWE has a perfect oppotunity to make a huge star and absolutely blew it.

LL Cool G was right. SOMETHING needs to be said. and i understand that it just hurts a little to say it, so we all just think it. when Eddie died i didnt log on to this forum for several weeks. i have lived in El Paso for 12 years, but i'm not from there. my wife is from Juarez, MEX and grew up watching Eddie and Chavo. and at the time of his death, Eddie was IMO the best entertainer in wrestling, even over Kurt Angle.

Now as far as Chavo is concerned - his move set aside - it is just annoying to see him recieve any amount of success, or more accurately, be shoved down our throats based on Eddie's merits rather than his own. Chavo will never be the star that Eddie was, and that's just the way it is.

Kerwin White was a great gimmick that easily had IC championship and upper mid-card potential - and it was entertaining. i wish that Chavo, or the wwe, didnt deem it necessary to turn Chavo into instant baby face and revert back to his "classic" and stale character in light of Eddie Guerrero's untimely death. it is also annoying to see that character go on a winning streak as if that is going to make us all feel better.

We would all understand that Kerwin White is Chavo Guerrero is Eddie's nephew and loves and misses Eddie.

I loved eddie way to much, and now that hes gone i think ill take any reminder i can that hes still with us in some shape or form. I agree however he should use his own finisher, and this should be dropped in a half-year to a year from eddies death.

You also think everyone here is the same person? I've always liked Masters...

But as for Chavo, I like being reminded of Eddie. He's not riding Eddie's legacy... he is being supported. There is nothing wrong with it.
