I got to preview this movie with some friends on Thursday night, and it was so amazing. I'm a big horror fan, so normally that kind of stuff doesn't phase me, but I actually became nauseous a few times.

I enjoy how the movie lets you get to know the characters, yet still lets things happen. This is where Wolf Creek failed for me. It spent time with its characters, but the time spent with them was so boring. Hostel doesn't make the same mistake. It develops its characters while still keeping things interesting.

When the violence starts hitting, it is sickening because we've taken such a ride with the characters. The fact that the violence is some of the goriest stuff I've seen, ever, also adds to the sickening feeling.

This movie is so bad ass. Discuss.
