My Mates laptop
My mates got a laptop which has Xp and I think he's got a virus cos everytime he logs onto the internet he gets a wraning saying that his machine will close in 60 secs, then it does the count down and closes.

I remember a while ago there was a huge virus that did this to alot of PC's. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like Blaster to me.

I think there's removal tool on the Microsoft site.

yeah man, u need the patches from the microsoft site, it was released august 03 and another in sept 03.

OK, but how does he do that if he's only got 1 minute of Net time, before he gets kicked off????

Or could i just create a data CD on my PC?
