I'm bored.
But also not alert enough to post anything insightful, so I want to see something. Let's see what you guys can come up with in terms of "Greatest angle" from the WWE, WCW, ECW, whatever you want. Keep it to televised US wrestling (Not a knock on New Japan, but let's keep it to what the mainstream viewer might have possibly seen).
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |

It's not an angle more or less, but when the Rock won at Survivior series and we were all so into him at the time it was like what the fuck....
angle wise Steamboat Savage leading into wmiii, classic buildup classic match. |

Dawn Marie and Al Wilson. The angle sucked so horribly that the WWE kept with it. I'm not too sure if they kept going as a joke or not, but it was funny. Al was the worst actor ever. Tazz laughed and made fun of Al Wilson through the whole angle, which was so damn funny.
I also loved the Rock 'N Sock feud with each other. Foley had just released his book, and thought the Rock was shitting all over it. It was funny, but also had a lot of heart into it. People actually felt bad for Foley. The Sting vs nWo was great. WCW could barely fight against the nWo, but Sting fought against them, for the most part, by himself. Most of it was so well done. Even it escalading to two Nwos. The Wolfpac were awesome, but after Sting got injured and was out for a bit, it went to hell. |

I was just watching some ECW today and it reminded me of the night Raven lost to Tommy Dreamer for the first time when he was leaving for WCW. Dreamer was then attacked by RVD and Sabu and after the lights went dark, Jerry Lawler appeared taking the WWF side. Massive ECW beat down until Taz hits the ring who then challenges Shane Douglas (who is sitting in the stands) to a match for the TV title and makes him tap within 3 minutes.
There isn't a hollywood writer in the WWE today who would write simple wrestling angles like this. |

As for picking one angle, I'd probably choose the night the nWo showed up and took out some WCW wrestlers in the back. When Rey gets tossed into the trailer. If we're not just talking one moment though, I'd go with nWo from the moment Hall showed up till about Starcade 97 |
