Yep and considering the original definitely had a ton of elements that could have been improved on and this one is being handled by the guy who did Haute Tension, I can't see this failing

I agree completely, the original was a bit of a letdown and could have been improved in many places.

Agreed. One of the few horror remakes I'm actually looking forward to/have a good feeling about. Although the original is pretty awesome itself.
