PS3 in November

It was confirmed today that Sony had delayed the PS3 launch until November, at which time they will launch worldwide. The Xbox 360 did the same thing but Sony says they plan to avoid the shortages.

Some key notes of the conference:

PS3 released in November, before Thanksgiving for all territories.
It will come with an Xbox Live like service called the Playstation Network Platform.
The Playstation Network Platform is planned to be free.
It will use a 60GB hard drive that has a Linux based OS in it.
Sony is telling developers to make games as if the PS3 has the hard drive installed.
They are unsure if the PS3 will come with hard drive or if you'll have to purchase it.
