Cena was the next big thing. There's only two ways to go now.

They recoup his heel persona, and he's bigger than Jesus.

They continue his current character, or try to make him a generic heel, and he gets more X-Pac heat than Waltman himself.

I suspect a heel turn in the future. They won't keep shoving him down our throats as a face with Triple H looking bad in a program with him. Triple H will turn face, Cena will turn heel, we will all complain because the WWE did it wrong (which they will), and eventually Cena will be cheered against Triple H again, because this feud is pointless. It wouldn't surprise me if post-Summerslam, they complete forget the Triple H/John Cena feud ever happened.

So my answer? John Cena will probably turn heel against Triple H, which will freshen him up, which will get him cheered again, which will repeat the cycle. Either that or he replaces Triple H as the top heel, and feuds with a babyface like Rob Van Dam, or even Edge (I can see the WWE turning him for some reason).

I don't think WWE's smart enough to heel turn Cena. Come on, they ignored the "mixed reaction" and then when even they couldn't deny it, they tried to turn him even MORE face.

I'm hoping for one of two scenarios:

he loses the title to HHH and stays a shitty babyface and nobody cares about him and he ends up in the gutter.

OR

he aligns himself with the McMahons at Wrestlemania turning into a decent heel while also keeping the WWE title.

Lets face it though....wasn't Cena actually entertaining when he was chasing Edge? For like 2.5 seconds, he was actually approaching what got him over.

If they truely wish him to stay face, they need that spinner title off his shoulder. Have him chase it around. And free him to do some actual wrestling and promos. He's got the skills, use 'em.

Or they could just keep shoving him down our throats until they have to declare bankruptcy. Really...the choice is the WWE's.

Like many I would like them to ether turn him heel or if they want to keep him face let him stay away from the title for a bit.

But wwe wont. They didnt change his character when he was getting booed like crazy and I cant forsee anything else that could happen that would make wwe change cenas current direction.

The more and more I think about it, and see it being suggested, the more and more a full-out Corporate heel turn for John Cena appeals to me.

Just have him run out during the No Holds Barred Match and F-U Shawn Michaels. Vince McMahon covers, 1-2-3. Vince McMahon then rewards Cena by cancelling his match with Triple H. Triple H gets pissed, comes out with a sledgehammer and goes after Cena, but The Spirit Squad beat Triple H down.

Cena escapes with Vince in a limo.

It preserves the feud for Backlash, and RAW has too many matches taking place at WrestleMania, anyway. This can give the lower card matches more time, or allow some other guys to get on the card (MNM?).

You really think they'd cancel the Wrestlemania WWE title match? The fans would go fucking ballistic. WWE would kill themselves if they did that. Unless they plan to make the main event Vince vs Shawn it'll be pretty stupid for Cena to FU Shawn.

WWE is in fucked up situation because even if you wanted to turn Cena heel by having Vince or Shane run out and clock Triple H it wouldn't work cause Triple H is supposed to be a heel as well and will be booed like hell. It's just overall a retarded situation.

That would be awesome, except the commentators wouldn't be able to convey it right, in my opinion. I can just imagine Jonathan Coachman going "He didn't sell-out" and Jerry Lawler calling him an "ass kisser" and Joey Styles being the only one to hit the nail on the head, but his voice would be drowned out. The completely obvious addressing of the issue you suggested would probably come off better, as the WWE would be able to point in one direction with it.

They could have Cena come forth as the father as Stephanie's baby. I mean, the two did seem kind of close from a kayfabe point on SmackDown!. Cena can basically do what Triple H did to become top heel. By riding the boss' daughter, Cena would get a huge amount of heat, because the women will boo him as well. Don't bring Stephanie back as a character, though, that would just be annoying. To make the angle more real, you can even have Triple H revealed to have married Steph again. To write him out of WWE storylines while he's looking after the baby, just have Vince McMahon fire him since he has no ties with the McMahons anymore.

Trust me, at WrestleMania either both Triple H & John Cena will be booed, or Triple H will be cheered and Cena booed.

I can see why advertising a WWE Title match being cancelled would be a horrible idea, having the match take place could be horrible, too. There are other ways to solve the problem, too.

John Cena wins by forfeit when Triple H is beaten down, and then the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match comes out and challenges Cena, saying these fans paid to see a WWE Championship match, and regardless of what Vince McMahon says, they're going to see one. Have the MITB Winner go in as the underdog, and Cena gets cocky. Triple H runs back in, though, hits Cena with the sledgehammer behind the ref's back while Shawn Michaels puts Vince McMahon down with the Sweet Chin Music, the MITB Winner hits a Five Star Frog Splash (because you know RVD winning would be awesome), and covers for the three.

Triple H turning face could be horrible, but I have always had some kind of curiosity in Triple H as a badass "no one is taking this spot from me" face. 2002 Face Triple H was horrible. 2006 Face Triple H might be able to take a few steps forward for the company.

Yeah, I know. WWE barely knows how to book the most obvious of options, so the subtlety of Cena trying to be true "to his people" while selling out is probably too cerebral.

Using the MITB stipulation would cause a nice surprise if they were to use it that night but it just won't happen and I doubt Triple H will ever be a face again. If this wrestlemania was in Toronto every match would be booed out of the fucking building.
