6, the Main event was a big diapointment and the card is saved by the ladder match and Angle-Benoit-Jericho

7.0 - Above average WrestleMania, and while it was a lot of fun, it just doesn't historically stake up against the greats.

*Interesting note; this was the first WrestleMania that saw a heel walk out as WWE Champion*

Gosh darn it I missed the last two WMs!

- No 1 on 1 matches
- Too many pointless tag matches
+ Jericho/Benoit/Angle
+ Tag Team Ladder match
- McMahons being centre of attention in ME
- Women's "match"
+ Original ME idea
+/- Execution of ME match

So that leaves me at...

although it was the wrestlemnaia debuts of Angle, Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, E and C, Dudleyz, and The Hardyz. the show bombed. With the exception of the Triangle Ladder Match, the card sucked. The main event should have been Rock vs HHH. Why they went with the Fatal Four Way i have no clue

An extremely boring WrestleMania. The two tag team matches and the Hardcore Battle Royal were absolute shit - then there was the unbelievable TLC match that stole the show - an idiotic catfight and a pointless six man tag - a pretty good triple threat match that didn't live up to its potential - another stupid tag team match - and then a main event with an ending that nobody liked.

3.

I'll say 7.

The Angle vs Jericho vs Benoit match was awesome. The traingle ladder match is one of the greatest wrestlemania matches of all time in a whole lotta peoples' opinions.

It did feel like somewhat of a letdown though. I mean the WWF was super awesome then, you'd think that wrestlemania could have been one of the greatest of all times.

I think they over booked the "screw tradition" for Wrestlemania 2000.

There were just too many tag matches.

A generous 8. The year 2000 was maybe the WWE's creative peak of all-time, but WM2000 just didn't encapsulate that. But at least a lot of the wrestlers were over and involved in some kind of storyline, and from a nostalgic stand point, there were a lot of future stars WrestleMania-debuting and/or developing at this show. And the show FELT like a WrestleMania.

And although it promised much, and disappointed many, I still think it will be held in higher regard, historically, than this Sunday's Mania 22.

And just a note in hindsight... wouldn't it have made more sense to have Rikishi team with Too Cool, and have Chyna team with Kane? Considering Chyna's history with DX and, indeed, Kane... and considering Rikishi's friendship with Too Cool?

I never realised at the time, or indeed until quite recently, that there were NO singles matches on the show (barring the Katfight which was more like a tag team match with Moolah and Mae Young out there anyway).
