QUESTION - Should Jericho's "face turn" be one huge TEASE? (and he stays heel)
Think about this:

Benoit is on Raw, and Goldberg will soon be gone (as will Triple H to film movies). With Benoit as a face, HBK, RVD, and Jericho will also all be faces. That leaves Benoit's opponents to be Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Dave Batista, Kane, and maybe Booker T (if he decides to join up with his fellow African-Americans in Mark Henry and Theodore Long).

However - it's still obvious that a higher profile heel is needed........seeing as how Orton and Batista need more time in the mid-cards. I'm sorry, but I do NOT think the fans will accept a Benoit/Kane or a Benoit/Matt Hardy or a Benoit/Christian as a 'high profile main-event' feud.

So with that in mind, why not have Jericho turn heel? (and oppose Benoit).

To turn heel, maybe Jericho can break Trish Stratuses heart again. Jericho then becomes friends with Christian again (or maybe this whole 'Trish' thing is another well-thought out plan by Jericho and Christian).

Jericho then gets into another program with Benoit (which would be AWESOME). Jericho loses the first time, but wins in a rematch to become World Champion. A HEEL Jericho then feuds with people such as Benoit, RVD, Booker T (if he doesn't turn), and Shawn Michaels again. If Triple H comes back as a face, perhaps Jericho and Triple H can lock horns once again.

p.s. Also; for Wrestlemania, do you think it would be better for Shawn Michaels to be a part of the Triple H/Benoit match? (making it a triple threat). The match would probably be better due to HBK's presence.

HBK being added their may argubaly make the match more 'high profile' as well.

That's the only good reason I've heard for Jericho to stay heel. Provided that Benoit gets more over by the time he's established as a main eventer/champion. Since Jericho has been buried as of late he can redeem himself with a World title feud with Benoit because his former feud with Benoit was absolutely incredible.

My opinion on the possible World title match at WMXX is that WWE should go ahead with the Triple Threat match, but still have Benoit win the title. None of this rematch at Backlash shit.

Here's what I'd consider:

-Have the triple threat match at Wrestlemania. Have Benoit win the title by hitting the flying headbutt on a fallen Triple H.

I don't mind this actually.

After a victory over Taker at Mania (which ends Taker's 'streak'), Kane then challenges and defeats Benoit (although I'd rather see Benoit have a longer title reign than one month).

Only thing I don't like about it, is that Kane can't put on great matches. With Jericho and Benoit as champs, they can carry almost anyone to solid matches.

But then again...........the marks may dig Kane more than they would a Chris Benoit.

Right, ratings-wise, putting the strap on Kane would be a good idea, but it'd still hurt Benoit's credibility.

It's pretty obvious that the fans want to cheer Jericho and they'd be missing a golden opportunity to elevate both he AND Christian by feuding with each other. Besides, how long is Trish going to be booked like an inept sucker before the fans just get turned off?

You know, I was thinking last Monday night that it'd be funny if he turned on Trish.

Mostly because you wouldn't expect him to after he traded in his Survivor Series favor. But then again, if he wanted to hurt Trish...REALLY hurt her, it'd be a small price to pay to build her up, then DASH her....

I dont like turning Jericho heel again. This face turn is going to work wonders. My idea is turn Benoit heel. I'm sick of this face character bullshit. Align him with someone who can run the mic for him and have these two feud. Jericho-face, Benoit Heel. Benoit has an always will be in my opinion be better as a heel.

Or they could keep Jericho as a face and work it this way to get benoit as a heal....

Get Christian and Jericho to have a argument before Benoit defends the title against him (if that ever happends), when Benoit and Jericho are fighting have christian come down the ring and hit jericho with a chair or something and benoit get the win, then the next night have Benoit say blah blah blah im the best none can beat me, causing him to turn heal or something...then Bishoff come down and demand a rematch, but a 3 way with christian, jericho and benoit, then throughout the whole match have benoit and christian kick the crap outta jericho...then benoit picks up then win...then it develops form there .

RVD isn't a factor in terms of depth, he's never going anywhere in the WWE, everyone needs to recognize that.

I dont like turning Jericho again. First, it makes no sense. Why would Christian agree to fight Jericho (which will happen at Mania) just to help Jericho get in the sack with Trish. Plus, its one of those turns for the sake of swerving the fans. The fans are into Jerihco as a face, why take that away, why not go with it?

As for Benoit's opponents, again, like I mentioned in a previous post, Benoit wont have the title that long. He'll probably hold it for a few months (probably longer than Goldberg), but he really only needs two or three major fueds in that time. So you have Hunter in April, maybe HBK in June, and if they need someone else they have Kane. By then Hunter will be back, and he'll get his title back, and everything will be right in the world. And in terms of TV programs they can go to Randy who is already a main event guy, and will continue to be after the rub he gets from Foley.

As for Jericho, I think he'll be better off as a face. Chances are Hunter will return as a heel, so he can fued with Jericho. At some point HHH will likely go face to fued with Orton (maybe Mania XXI), so maybe they use a fued with Jericho and HHH to lead to a respect deal, which turns Hunter face.

Y2j is better as face but raw is in desperate needs of heels , by summerslam I hope the main eventers will go something like this:


HEELS: Batista,Kane,Orton,Flair,Booker T and try to sign Shamrock
FACES: HHH,Taker,Benoit,HBK,Y2J,RVD.....

But with Vince around.......NO CHANCE!
