What really happened to Hogan's face before Wrestlemania IX?
Yeah.

Just bought and watched Wrestlemania IX and they had that angle with Hogan having a busted face thanks to Money Inc when Hogan was leaving the gym the night before.

Now as a kid, I totally believed that Money Inc had hired some goon to whack Hogan. Now I'm older, I can clearly see that Money Inc didn't really hire anyone.

So what happened? Walked into a door? Droped a weight on his face? His ego tried to escape his face?

There's the kayfabe story (Money Inc.), the "official" story (jet ski), and the REAL story (Savage?). That's what I'm guessing at least.

I can't remember this. Was he wearing a mask or something? I remember a mask. It may have been Brutis the Barber with a mask. Damn memory fading....maybe it's a good thing my wrestling memory is fading.

Wasn't Beefcake recovering from reconstructive surgery after having his face crushed in a freak hangliding/abseiling/some-other-extreme-sport-ing accident, hence his mask?
