I remember the original. My mother was a big fan of going to the theater. She'd take my to anything, just to give her company. The original was pretty good, for it's time and for what I remember. It was during a time they were making these type of disaster movies. Airport'77, Towering Inferno, Poseidon Adventure, Airport '78, '79... You get the idea.

I'm not a bid fan of remakes. This one did have me somewhat interested, moreso I think because I was thinking back to a good moment with my mom.

I was reading reviews to this movie tonight and it sounds like it absolutely sucks.

Shame.

Anyone here going to go see it?

Saw it Thursday night. It's pretty medicore/bad.

The only thing I trust Kurt Russell to lead me out of is Manhattan Island Prison in the near future. I'm better off watching THE poseidon ADVENTURE.
