ECW in UK?

I'm from the UK. I have NTL, and on this, I have the Sci Fi channel.

But is the Sci-Fi channel in the UK the same as the one in the US. ex. If I set my video, could I tape ECW at 2.00am as its being shown in america.

Will ECW be on the UK Sci-Fi?

Or will it replace Velocity on Sky Sports 3?

Which will be stupid cuz Velocity is shown on a Sunday morning at 9.00am, so ECW's voilance would be completely censored.

Anyone know about whether its Sci-Fi or Sky Sports?

Time moves on, people pass away, but there will always be a Snake...

Why would it replace Velocity?

It will most likely be on Sky, seeing as it's Sky who hold the rights to all WWE programming. And I'm almost certain our Sci-fi isn't the same as the one in the USA.

It's replacing Velocity. It airs late Sunday night at about 11pm.

As Rob said, it's replacing Velocity, at least in the taping aspect. They're taping ECW in Velocity's spot.

Oh I didn't realise that. So it's being taped before Smackdown? That's gonna suck.

Either before or after.

I would imagine that IF ECW takes off they'll start touring (they have some house shows in ECW Arena-sized places at the moment), but for now they're in the SmackDown! arenas in the SmackDown! ring.

I'm wondering how they'll handle Supershows. I'm going to one in July and I hope they'll be taping instead of airing old stuff (although that wouldn't be horrible).

Well I guess I'm not complaining, because I have tickets for Smackdown in a few months, and this will give me a chance to see ECW. But I think it'll look really stupid in a Smackdown ring with a Smackdown set and with Smackdown fans. But then again, what else are they gonna do? If they did do shows independantly I can't see them selling out arenas just for a one hour show.

I would imagine that if they started to tour they would either up the time slot to two hours and/or tape two or three shows per event.

They won't be selling out HUGE arenas, but the arenas they do run holding no more than a few thousand should sell out.

I think it's a terrible idea to have ECW in Smackdown arenas. I mean firstly, ECW ring was different than WWE ring so right off the bat something isn't right. Secondly, well, it'll just suck.
