Smackdown! Taping Results

WWE Velocity Tapings (For WWE.com Webcast):

- Funaki defeated some jobber

- Tatanka defeated Seth James

- Gunner Scott defeated Colt Cabana

- Jamie Noble & Kid Kash defeated two jobbers. It was hard to hear the names.

- Matt Hardy defeated Simon Dean


WWE Friday Night SmackDown Tapings

The Miz is the host of SmackDown! tonight, and promotes the main event, Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay.

The ring is covered in red carpet. Regal comes out to introduce King Booker. As Regal was talking, Lashley runs out and attacks Regal. Teddy Long comes out and announced Lashley Vs. Regal.

Batista Promo. Batista Returns in 31 Days.

Super Crazy (w/ Psicosis) vs. Brian Kendrick (w/ London).
Winner: Super Crazy. The Great Khali comes out and dominates the four guys after the match.

Fit Finlay Promo is cut, with him asking if Rey is going to defect to ECW.

Promo with Nunzio in the back talking to the cruiserweights. Vito interrupts wearing a dress. Promo between Nunzio and Vito, which leads to next match.

Vito defeated Nunzio

MR. KENNEDY promo.

Sharmell comes out and introduces King Booker. Lashley comes out. Regal attacks him from behind. The match goes back and forth for a while. Regal goes to use a chair on the outside, but Lashley spears him. Regal is being counted out, and King Booker runs down to try to put Regal back in the ring, but fails. Regal is counted out.

Winner due to count out: Lashley.

Bikinni contest, no one really cares. Ashley won.

Mark Henry squashes some jobber. After the match, Henry issued a challenge to Batista.

Mr. kennedy comes out.

Kennedy defeated Scotty 2 Hotty.

Rey & Chavo are talking in the back. Rey talks about possibly defecting to ECW, asks when Chavo is going to start wrestling again. That basically sums it up.

Michael Cole is now in the middle of the ring, talking about a rumor of Paul Heyman extending a contract to Rey to come to ECW. Tazz interrupts. To sum it up, Tazz quits. Heyman comes out, Rey comes out. Rey says "My home is SmackDown!".

Main Event
Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay. All the little kids were cheering for Rey. Sabu comes out from the crowd with a chair, but Rey intercepted him, and the ref is distracted by Sabu, Finlay uses his little cane thingy (shillelegleigh, or whatever it's called) on Rey to pick up the win.

Winner: Fit Finlay

Dark Match.
Handicap Match
Mark Henry & The Great Khali vs. The Undertaker.

Winner: The Undertaker.

Biggest Pop of the night was Rey.

Most heat was probably Paul Heyman.



What the hell. Rey Mysterio loses another main event. I don't ever recall a World Championship reign being this pathetic.
