GTA: Liberty City Stories
Yeah...so this game came out for PS2 (it had been a PSP-only release at first). It's cheap too, I got it for $20 at Best Buy.

From what I hear, it'll take 30 or so hours to complete the main story missions alone, and then after that there's mini games and the like. All that for $20 is a sweet deal. Obviously the graphics are a step down, but what do you expect with a PSP-made game? It also feels good to be back in Liberty City and its scummy mob feeling.

As always, I REALLY got a kick out of the game's manual. It reads as though you were reading a newspaper (with stories inside it). The funniest being one talking of a petition to ban motorcycles (giving an excuse for there being no motorcycles in GTA3...which is set a few years after LCS)

I'm thinking this game (along with continued play from SA and maybe the other GTAs) should be more than enough to satisfy my GTA fix before the late 2007 release of the next GTA game.

Anyone else have this game?

I was thinking of picking this up. Is it anything lik the newer GTA's, or is it GTA 1 and 2 style?

It's the newer game style

The one criticism I have thus far (although I am only a few missions in) is that the characters don't seem to be as well developed or evolve as much...but that could change.

So how does it play? Does it play like GTA 3 or does it have some of the enhancements from VC and SA?

I've just started playing but it is the GTA3 "map" with a lot of the shit from the newer games it would seem. Motocycles and all that shit, I don't really remember much about Vice City tho since I played it so long ago and I was never really into SA.

It is pretty sick to just tool around the map with the motorcycle, there is a motocross track inside the woods too now, I don't remember that being in GTA3 (wouldn't make sense to have it really)

I mean its just a PSP port with no multiplayer. But its your typical GTA game. I stopped playing because it felt too much like the original (with the exact same map as stated earlier).

GTA3 didn't have motorcycles. They were added in Vice City.

The story line was pretty bad, and it was like "GTA3 with motorcycles"

Not bad for only 20 though.
