How much did Sabu talk in ECW?
How much did Sabu talk in ECW? I'm talking about promos, like the one they did on last week's ECW Sci-Fi, where he said "Deal". I had come to understand that, outside of random yells at the camera and such, had never talked in an ECW promo.
So did he? Or was the Sci-Fi show the only time he talked in-character? ![]() |

From what I remember his managers (Paul E. and Fonzie) did all the talking for him.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm hoping that last week wasn't his first words in-character, because that's just a waste of a tension builder.

Yep he didn't talk at all. You can hear him after the Benoit incident but otherwise he didn't say a word.

Yeah when I saw that on the first ECW show on sci-fi I was shocked when he talked, and was shocked again when no one mentioned it on TPWW.
End of an era ![]() Might be exagerating, but whatever. |

I'm more shocked that the STFU hurts more than having your jaw broken and your bicep torn

When he did the Forever Hardcore documentary he had absolutely no accent. He reminded me of an Italian without an accent for some reason as a matter of fact.

I think he sounds a lot like Chris Benoit, at least in "Forever Hardcore." Also, I remember hearing him say something near the camera when his neck was broken, and also hearing "Cut me out of this shit," after 'Born to be Wired.' And speaking of ruining characters, how about billing ECW wrestlers as tougher than nails, then having two of the toughest tap out consecutively to the shut the fuck up?

They mentioned it on the managers dvd on Paul E.s bio on how Sabu never talked.

Sabu has spoken twice or three other times. I just haven't seen them. In ECW, he'd just look at RVD and/or the Fonz (who I still have no idea why the fuck isn't on camera), and they'd know exactly what he was thinking.
