X-Box 360 question
So what exactly is the difference between the X BOx 36o core system and the full console? Is it worth having the core system only?

By having only the core system, you wont be getting the hard drive. This will mean that you WONT be able to use the backwards capability, as you need the files saved to the console.
Apart from that, I'm not too sure on the major differences between them, as I don't actually own one. |

Not really. You lack the Hard Drive which is the most expensive add-on. Without that, you can't play some MMORPGs, can't play XBox original games (bar Halo 1 and 2) and some games like Oblivion have HD optimisations for load times and you'd need to buy a memory card anyways so you don't really save that much.
Also in the premium, you get the XBox live headset, the HDTV hookup cables and the wireless controller. I would not bother with the core system. you'll just end up buying a hard drive down the line. |

I can get a free core system with a contract phone though.
So it's worth having and can play all 360 games then? |

lol whats the contract with the phone like?
I guess seeing as you would be getting it for free then it wouldn't be so bad, although the HD could be pretty pricey. |

If I'm not mistaken, to add JUST the hard drive to a core system is $100. Or it is here, anyway.

If you were buying it, I'd say go with the full console. Since it's free, you'd be paying about $200 if you wanted all the extras the full one comes with, so that's minus $300 from the full console.
(This is of course in USD funds.) |
