Sabu just wrestled Stevie Richards. Yes he actually wrestled him. He didn't use a table or even a chair. It was decent.

It was weird though.

The gayest thing I've seen on ECWWE so far. Fuckin' Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn...

Kelly finally got caned, but it was an "accident". That "match" was also bullshit.

Sabu vs. Richards was actually good, but it's weird to see Sabu actually wrestling.

The crowd's actually OK, too.

Though, shit like the aforementioned Heyman/Test crap, and the Sandman "match" makes me wish I was watching Bischoff-Russo era WCW. Or at least Jeff Jarrett as champ in TNA.

Big Show. Defending the ECW World Title. Against The Undertaker. With Mickie Henson as the referee.

I just kept thinking how incredible it would have been if Flair or Taker had had matches in the original ECW. How incredible that feel would have been...

That being said, shut the fuck about about ECW not having the old ECW rules, the fact that the ECW Title has been in more matches with WWE guys then ECW guys. Seriously shut up about it. Vince didn't recreate ECW to destroy it's legacy, he did it because he thought he could make some money from it, and guess what? That's his right. His vision of ECW isn't the one that ECW alumni or fans have. Get over it. Personally I enjoy ECW more then RAW or SmackDown. No it's not the old ECW but I think in general it's better then the other two.

* Generic Hoss Mike Knox
* Kelly Kelly, the Worst. Stripper. EVER!!!
* Sabu in the Midcard
* Sandman caning some cliche.
* Dreamer get used as a jobber.
* Two WWE Guys wrestling for the ECW Title (as seen from the 1,000th post post.)

Maybe they have something working here. This is one of those "give it time" ideas and all, but it looks like they might be finally building some fueds.

Knox and Sandman seem to be taking this somewhere, and I like Dreamer "standing up for ECW" in this angle with Paul E. & Test.

They still have Sabu running around in the midcard hell right now and we get to watch two WWE guys fight over the ECW title every week... but then again "give it time".

I know this is Vince's company and that the actual ECW is long gone and this is nothing more than a new Raw or SD!, but the idea is still there.

If they only had a 2 hour slot like the other shows have. They would really be able to do something. With "The Reject" and Punk set to debut, where will they feature them right now? A RVD/Punk angle makes all the sense in the world, but you know Van Dam will be thrown into the Dreamer/Heyman program in some way.

They have enough guys right now to warrent to the move to a two hour program. They can get a tag team program going and they can have something to do for the cruiserweights.

There is talent to be found there and this honestly could become the top "brand" if they can get their shit together with it.

Then again... it's Vince. Katie Vick vs Sabu will lead-off next week.

A few things I loved about the show.

A. No one giving two shits about Kelly being knocked out. Normally the "face" would be concerned. Sandman didn't give two shits.

B. I actually liked Heyman's little "Kiss of Death." (I'm praying that's what it was, because if they make Heyman gay, I'm killing someone.) I could see Test being Heyman's hitman for awhile, using him for protection from those who don't want to follow his "vision."

The excuse was that Sabu had legal substances and an unused pipe. RVD had the mary jane on him.

You should get paid to live under Vince McMahon's desk and be used as a human-toilet/blowjob machine, because obviously you don't understand the concept of freedom to do what you want and dislike what you want to dislike.

"Shut the fuck up about ECW not having old ECW rules"? ECW stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling, in which there are no fucking rules! He's taken away the primary aspect of ECW, and you think we should just shut up and not voice our displeasure?

You my friend are a tool.

Get the fuck outta here... For all that show has been, it could have been/should be called "WWE Tuesday Night". Or "Velocity Remix" or something other than ECW. WWE really should stick to making their stellar home videos, and WWE 24/7 and putting more money into making them even more authentic (i.e. as they originally aired within "legal" limits). Because at this point, the only thing ECW has over SmackDown is that there is no "Boogeyman" or "Leprechaun" type crap going on it, and over Raw is that there isn't a 20-minute segment dedicated to the Spirit Squad, Vince McMahon doing his best HHH impression, or raining "poop".

Fans aren't irate just because of the lack of "ECW Rules" or any of the other crap. This new brand was launched with the expectation that it would be low on the "sports-entertainment" and more on the "wrestling". While that has been partly true, what mostly has been shown is big-guys squashing the littler ones, and all the old ECW guys jobbing out in ridiculous squashes, instead of jobbing out a respectful way (as many of them would have done, to put over new talent).

ECW on TNN, with its censoring, lack of promotion, and lack of freedom >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ECW on SciFi.

I finally got around to watching this weeks - and I have to say, it's slowly getting better. It's not old school ECW - but it's no longer total crap like the debut show. They're starting to implement storylines and I'm even not minding Barbie Blank and shes got my pick for hottest diva on the roster. Only thing that bothered me was that none of the announcers made any reference to it being the "kiss of death" and I think a lot of people would've thought "WTF".

But yeah - all in all, showing signs of improvement.

Thanks for not really paying attention to what I said guys. Everyone is acting like I said the new ECW is the best thing ever. I fully and whole heartedly agree the new ECW is absolutly nothing compared to the old one. Barely even comparable. That being said people (Lara Emily in this case) who claim Vince made the new to destroy it's legacy need to shut up. Vince McMahon is trying to create an ECW that has a blend of it's old style and is still marketable to five year olds who have mommy and daddy's wallet.

Break down ECW, Big Show is easily (IMO) the most credible World Champion of any promotion...Sabu is getting over nicely with both old ECW fans and the new ones Vince is trying to bring in...Paul Heyman's gimmick is actually quite interesting and I want to see where they take it...while it's true most of the ECW alumni arn't getting over really well, do me a favor and think through who they have, none of them were the big ECW names. The big names could see the writing on the wall before the company even started that it wasn't going to be anything compared to the old ECW, so they didn't sign up.

Do me a favor, don't try and compare new ECW to old ECW because they are not the same. Paul Heyman giving input while trying to keep his big pay check job is not ever going to be the same as Paul Heyman living and dying by the sword. A Vince McMahon & Stock Holders owned company will never be the same as one man who has a vision and is will to put it all on the table for a single roll of the dice. It can't be the same, it never could be the same, and it was never designed to be the same.

And before any of you start in with "Then why call it ECW" bullshit, Vince calls it ECW because the five year old kids who I mentioned earlier have no real idea what the original ECW was, Vince McMahon just nerf'd the idea of Hardcore and Extreme wrestling for the next generation, which ironically may have extended the life span of his future stars. Also with all the momentum of Rise and Fall along with ONS he had enough initial interest to restart it and get people to tune in to at least see what it is. And while we are on the topic, Vince McMahon & Co. are pulling in on average twice what Paul Heyman was able to pull in. Unsatisfying to our taste? Yes. But money in the bank for McMahon, and since he is a business man...well...you know the rest.

And for the record I sit not only McMahon's desk, but under the desk of Dixie Carter and anyone else who is in charge. I am sorry, but I have a long standing history of standing behind the person who signs the checks. If it's their company, let them run it however they wish. At the end of the day it's still THEIR product and THEIR vision which is more important then any of our voices. Don't like, go invest a few million or your own dollars to make a company...
