Technially, that's a Romero Special. The actual Surfboard is when the opponent is seated or lying down, and the opponent grabs both their arms and puts his foot or knee into the prone person's back.

I've always wondered, in moves like that where you need to have the other guy's foot hooked around your leg, can't the guy just unanchor his own foot to get out of it?

You see, with the tension of the legs going outward, attempting to unanchor their foot would result in cracked ankles and/or shins.

The one where you essentiall have them kneeling would be harder to pull off.

In a real fight, I'm not sure someone would think to unhook their legs though, so I think it's fair game (Though nobody would be stupid enough to get stuck in that to begin with)
