So I have this old external HDD and...
Yeah, I've got this old (purchased in a clearance sale in 2003) 40GB Que! HDD and I've got a problem. It seem the AC adapter thingamajig is broken and so I can't access anything on the HDD. See, it has a light that is solid green when everything is fine, but lately it's been blinking and so when I turn on the HDD, the HDD's light comes on and off and the computer doesn't even register it being connected.
So my question is this: have I lost all the shits on my HDD (lots of important/irreplaceable shits ![]() |

Try and email the company or call them or something, I don't know what else to tell you. Maybe they can send you a replacement part or something.

Would anyone know if there is an actual hard drive in these, or if they're something else? Because in a worst case scenario, you could crack it open and connect it to your main PC on the inside. You'd have to do that if you couldn't find an AC adapter and needed the data.
