No heels? Well, I'd disagree. Although they're booked to be heels, Scotty Steiner and Jarrett both get significant X-Pac heat, almost comparable to Cena... almost.

Seriously, on paper, turning Christian Cage heel may be the smartest thing they've done this year.

Christian works so much better as a heel, and he may get cheered, but he's still playing a role that he works so much better in. Christian Cage is a pretty average-sized man. How are we supposed to buy him against men like Samoa Joe, Monty Brown, Abyss and even Rhino? Because he's a slimey motherfucker who cracks steel chairs off people's heads when they aren't looking. He's a thinking man's wrestler, and he reeks of being "all talk, no walk", so for God's sake, let him talk and don't make him walk.

Hopefully on Impact! we open with a Christian Cage promo. Have him come out and address the issue:

"Why did I betray Sting at Hard Justice? Because I want glory. I guess you could say that I'm bound for glory. I was the hottest act in TNA until Sting came onto the scene, and since then he has hijacked my position on the roster to the point where I am an afterthought. I am not an afterthought!

Sting, you may be the stupidest bastard alive for continuously trusting people and getting guitars, banjos and harps cracked over your head constantly, but I am not a stupid bastard. That's a good idea. Here's mine.

Cage helps Sting win. Gets the belt away from Jarrett so we don't have to listen to his dumb ass for awhile. Then, Cage hosts a "Sting Appreication Night". We're all happy, dancing, singing, laughing haveing a great time when Cage just plasters Sting and proceeds to beat the living shit outta him. Then he cuts a promo about how TNA was his stomping ground and how the NWA title is his, not Sting's and Sting took it away from him so now he's taking everything away from Sting. That would've been a great turn.

Turning him was a great idea. The wya they did it was dumb.

Steiner threw the belt in the ring, Christian got it, and gave it to Sting who plastered JArrett. Sting almost wins. Turn opportunity missed.

Later, the ref's down, Cage is in the ring holding a chair with both Sting and Jarrett. He plasters Jarrett. Again turn opportunity missed.

Finally, Steiner comes out with the guitar, Cage ends up with his, and hits Sting as he jumps off the ropes. Why did he let 2 opportunities go to waste and help Sting nearly win twice?

TNA needs more topline heels and now that Christian is a heel he is prob thier best heel (yes even better than Jeff Jarret just for the simple fact that Jarret only gets heat because he is overexposed he dosnt actually get much heat based on his mic and ring work). Cage knows how to work the crowd and its a good thing that he going back into a simmilar character to the one that got him so over in the first place

Dramatic my ass, guy. I guess he wanted sting to win until the very end and changed his mind. The method they used reeks of a scripted ending. It is obvious that Cage only stopped him at the end because he knew that Jarrett would kick out of the other pin attempts, which make it seem so fake...TNA fake, huh.....nevermind. (Its still real to me, dammit)

Is it really so unbelievable?

Christian Cage came to TNA and made a pretty big impact, jumping straight into the World Title scene and even winning the belt from Jeff Jarrett on PPV.

He lost the belt cheap, and then before he even got another title shot, Sting shows up and steals all of his thunder. Not only that, but Sting went and won the fatal fourway match right underneath Christian's nose. Trying to be the good sport, Christian raised Sting's hand after the match to end the Victory Road PPV.

To Christian, Sting has come and taken his spotlight, and he wants it back.


The best thing this does is set up two awesome matches for Bound for Glory in October:

Sting vs. Christian Cage

and

Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett for the NWA Championship
