So...Can you boo a widow? (I'm marking this for spoilers so people don't cry foul)
...But the Vicky "turn" was something we all saw coming...
Wrestling itself often plays to morality in order to illicit a response. This is why any idiot waving a flag can be a face (As long as it's the right flag), Almost anyone who ever hits a girl will be a heel, etc. etc. These are easy examples, but pretty strong ones. Every couple of years, we get some "Un American" character who gets his ass kicked by a patriot and a couple of jobbers with American flags. Wrestling tells us to "Support the troops," And other innocuous statements, and again, it gets a response. So the real question: It's clear that we put many people up on a pedastal, and the behaviour must go a certain way. Can you boo a widow? This isn't even a question of "Is this angle in poor taste," But simply, can you really boo someone who, logically (At least, by wrestling logic standards) falls into the same category as the American flag, puppies, and the troops? Being a widow would seemingly make you an inherrent sympathetic figure in the simplistic, black and white rules of wrestling reactions. I mean, she should be able to get away with murder--Or at least kicking too puppies and blowing her nose on an American flag--And still smell like a rose. I don't know, I just can't manage to "hate" her. “There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |

The WWE has fucked this up so bad. I don't mind Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio feuding over Rey's use of Eddie's name. It is logical. What I don't like is the way everyone but Rey is being made to look evil.
Vicky needs to justify this next week, and she needs to do it logically. If this doesn't follow logic, the fans will shit all over it (they already kind of are). Actually, don't even have her come back. Have Chavo get on the mic next week and ask "How can she be wrong? How can the wife of Eddie Guerrero be wrong?", and then just have Rey Mysterio attack and never mention the name "Eddie Guerrero" in the course of the feud, again. I don't trust the WWE to do anything logical, and I don't trust them to take the righteous path, and use this feud as a way of admitting they made a mistake in pushed Rey so heavily with the Guerrero name attached. Who cares if the fans turn on Rey? He'll be gone six months. When he comes back, the fans will cheer him. |

"A" widow? Sure. Could I hate Vicky even if I were a complete mark? I'm not sure.

The only way I wouldn't boo Vicky Guerrero, is if she manages to do the 3 Amigos and a frogsplash on Mysterio next week on Smackdown. Or if she says 'holmes' during her promo.

She gets no response from me.
She shouldn't be involved in this storyline. |

I seriously thought the subject said "Can you boo a window?"
I was really confused. |
