A new reason to hate Hogan

Quote:
Hulk Hogan called into the "Bubba The Love Sponge" radio show on Sirius Howard 101 this past Thursday afternoon live from Vince McMahon's office in Stamford, CT and based on reports, it turned out to be a very interesting segment. WWE.com even mentioned Hogan's visit to WWE Headquarters at this link.

Here are some highlights from Hogan's appearance:

- Hogan mentioned he was calling from Vince McMahon's office at WWE Headquarters since Vince was late for their scheduled meeting. Cameras from VH1 for Hogan's reality show were filming the entire time.

- He stated he wants to return to WWE and his meeting with Vince was to discuss ways to get him involved in upcoming storylines.

- Brooke Hogan's new album drops next week and Hogan was hoping Vince could promote it on Monday Night Raw this week.

- Hogan said he wanted to be at the Royal Rumble in January and would even wrestle as soon as Survivor Series this November.

- When asked about a possible match with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 23, Hogan said if they booked Austin as the fan and him as the heel, the fans would still cheer him no matter what. He said he would do "what's best for business" when asked if he would job to Austin. (Note: As of now, the match is not happening).

- Hogan was asked to do his best Vince McMahon impression and say "YOU'RE FIRED!" at the end of his segment when Vince arrived. He then fired Vince over the phone on the show.
From www.wrestleview.com

I wish somebody would fucking kill Hogan already.

Oh that crazy Hogan. I do not want to see him back as his physical condition keeps getting worse. As for him doing "what's best for business." Yeah right.

Draw is the only reasonable conclusion in a Hogan/Austin match. Neither of them winning will "help business" nor will it hurt it. So save both their egos and make a legendary match, end in a draw. It hasn't happened in about 20 years so it would probably go over huge.

It had never even crossed my mind that a draw could be a conclusion for that match. And honestly, it makes the most sense of any ending that they could come up with. But alas, Hogan has creative control and will never allow Austin to look like his equal. Austin's best bet is to just stay away from the ring, especially if it involves fighting Hogan.

Austin, Hogan and the WWE could make a shit load of money in such a match. I know alot of you people forget this ...and also that wrestling is fake. Anyway if they could work a match for those two, I'd even be interested in watching it and I haven't watched wrestling in a long long time.

This match is big money anyway you cut it. With them heading back to the Pontiac Silverdome (the site of WM 3) they need a match of this caliber to fill the arena. One that is guaranteed to be talked about for ages, one that EVERYONE will tune in to see because it's a must. And if they did a draw for the finish it would only generate even more talk (and more money) if a rematch ever ensued.

Also, I don't know why you threw in the wrestling is fake line...

I don't need anymore reasons to hate Hogan. Besides, it doesn't look like he said anything offensive or wrong there. Well, aside from him doing what's "right for business". That had me laughing for a good long time.

LOL, remember when Hogan was like "I put over that young kid Shawn Michaels, brother. I helped get that dude over. If I face Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 23, brother, I'll go my best to help him get over, brother."

I honestly believe he thinks that if he hits Austin with a Leg Drop at WrestleMania 23, it will help Stone Cold Steve Austin's career. Please Steve, do not face Hogan unless you get to pin him. I will probably stop watching wrestling if that happens (and I am not one to make that threat because I disagree with the direction of the product).

Technically, WM III was held in Pontiac, MI not Detroit, the site of WM 23 (4/1/2007), and it's being held at FORD FIELD, not the Pontiac Silverdome.

P.S.--About the attendance figure at WM III: assuming it was sold out, the max capacity of the silverdome was 80,311, while WWE CLAIMED there was 93,173. That means that they exaggerated their attendance figures by 12,862, and that doesn't take into account sections which may have been blocked for cameras, which would probably bring a more accurate figure of somewhere around 78,000 or so at WM III, not 93,000+.

I get the feeling that some people would have been sharing seats to fit 93,173 in a 80,311 person building.

Did you take into account that the other 12,862 might have been down on the FOOTBALL FIELD where the ring was at?! The 80,311 was probably for the seats in the stands.

Yes, but even if they did seat people on the field itself it probably would have only held between 5,000-7,500 people, not almost 13,000.

Knowing the direction WWE is going storyline wise if the hogan\Austin match ended in a draw it would because Umaga interfered and destroyed them both

I'd like to see Hogan back on TV, if only for that live moment when his body breaks down and we get to see him literally fall apart.

However, if he faces Austin, I think Steve should totally no-sell the Leg Drop (Warrior style) and then beat the crap out of Hogan for real. I mean, what's he got to lose?
