Are you going to count the Hardcore Title? Because Raven held it like 26 times, which may be the record in and of itself, not counting his other runs with other titles.

You know what, I wouldn't mind leaving out the hardcore title. I've heard the Jerry Lawler held a world championship 22 times.

Some of the big contendors...

Jerry Lawler is a 27 time USWA World Champion and a 2 time AWA Champ as well, plus he holds a bunch of other non-world caliber titles.

Raven is (according to WIA); NWA PNW Tag Team Title (2 Times), NWA PNW Heavyweight Title (3 Times), PNW Television Title, WCW World Light Heavyweight Title, USWA Tag Team Title, MEWF Mid-Atlantic Title, ECW World Tag Team Title (4 Times), ECW World Heavyweight Title (2 Times), WCW United States Heavyweight Title, WCW World Tag Team Title, WWE World Hardcore Title (27 Times), HWA Tag Team Title, 3PW Heavyweight Title, NWA World Heavyweight Title, NWA Central States Title, USWX Heavyweight Title (4 Times)...totaling 52 various title reigns. If we are counting the WWE Hardcore Title, than unquestionably I think the most championship of any man. Also on note, WIA credited him as a 27 time Champion, I have seen and read various other sites that credit him with as many as 34 to 51 Hardcore Reigns, but I think 27 from WIA is trustworthy.

Between all of Ric Flair's title reigns, he has held 13 different belts with a total of 37 reigns.

Booker T has 35 reigns to his name. (two of those are trivial Hardcore Title reigns)

Those are kind of the big name players, Jeff Jarrett and Triple H are some other guys who have held a lot of gold in his career, but not as many as the before mentioned wrestlers.

Underrated big time promotion guy. He could have been bigger given his popularity in his WCW days but the big names wouldnt get out of the way.
And in WWE I thought he was misused and also came at a bad time. I always saw him as a great IC champ with potential for a main event push.

Officially I believe it is Jerry Lawler...I'm not going to bother counting the hardcore "title." Idon't really consider that a title, so it is lawler from what I can tell.

I think it is Lawler as well, with 112 reigns I think it is. Jerry Lawler and his son Brian Lawler(mostly known as Grandmaster Sexay) have held the AWA Southern Heavyweight Title 68 times combined.
