Did the Brian Pillman dvd just come out recently?
Anways i bought it today and i'm bout to watch it. I'll decide afterwards if i wanna make fun of his death or not.
What did you guys think of the DVD? Any matches i should skip straight to. It dont matter who did what to who at this point. The fact is, we went to war. And now there aint no going back. It's what war is you know? Once you're in it, you're in it. If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie, but we gotta fight! |

Badd Blood was the first PPV I ever ordered, I was a huge Micheals mark and to be fair, all of the matches were looked forward to. I liked the storyline where Goldust and Pillman were fighting over Marlena. So when I tune in and they say he died I was pretty shaken up. I was like "WTF - SUPERHEROS DON'T DIE". I grew up alot that day. Oh, that and they replaced a Pillman match with fucking Max Mini. Yeah. That's justice.

Pillman's legacy will be one that he was probably one of the first stars to use the internet(s) to his advantage. The whole Loose Cannon gimmick was ahead of it's time. He was a damned brilliant performer, and I remember the "a Flair for the Old" segment, where Pillman was playing Ric Flair, making him look geriatric and Steve Austin was playing the straight man.
That and the other obvious thing I remember is the "Cincinatti Bengals Tights" that JR would always talk about. Now that I think about it, that's kind of gross to be honing in on... |
