Apparently (and I say that because the results of steroid tests and visas haven't come in yet), Sean O'Haire is replacing Josh Barnett and Rulon Gardner is replacing Mark Hunt and that fight will be an MMA contest, not a boxing match like if Hunt gets into the States.

I was going to pick Hunt over Butterbean if it was MMA..

Barnett certainly isn't considered anything other than an odds on favourite.

*BEWARE MMA RABLINGS AHEAD*

Best MMA PPV I've ever seen..

Every fight was either a dramatic KO or an intense battle..

The quick rundown *spoilers* (I guess)

I don't know some of the guys, that were added late to the card, names..

-New York Badass Phil Baroni submitted some Japanese boxer by kimora (sp?) in the first round.. Baroni showed a pretty nice ground game, taking the him down imediatly and not letting up..

-Ruthless Robbie Lawler Ko'd Joey The Dream Smasher Villasenor with a monster knee to the face in like the first 10 secs.. NICE

-Some new Canadian wrestler fought Kazuhiro Nakamura.. Awesome first round.. Awesome second round until Nakamura TKO'd the Canadian with a gang of punches.. Ref stoppage..

-Dangerous Dan Henderson beat Vitor The Phenom Belfort by unanamous decision.. This was prolly the best fight of the night.. Henderson schooled Belfort at the ground game.. Awesome fight..

-Butterbean beat this shit outta Ohaire.. KO'd him with many short right hooks in 29 second..

-The Baby Faced Assasin Josh Barnett beat Pawol Nastula via ankle lock in the second round.. Barnett was getting destroyed but showed alot of craftiness sneeking out a submission..

-Mauricio Shogun Rua beat Kevin The Monster Randleman via a kneebar in the first round.. I thought this was Shogun's brother Ninja or whatever.. The kneebar looked mad painful..

-Fedor fucked Coleman up.. Think it ended up being an armbar in the second round.. Whatever it was, Fedor looked like he could've ended it at any point.. Fedor even said he was trying to make it last longer (lol).. Good showing of sportsmanship after the fight..


It was a great PPV.. A few things though:

The chick that was announcing was the most God awful annoying shit ever.. Her voice was like nails on a chalk board..

They couldn't do the 10 minutes first round because of the Nevada State Athletic Commision or whatever.. All the fights were 3-5 min rounds..

They need better (and more) interpreters if they want to stick around in the US..

Also, GET RID OF THE F'N ROPED RING!!1!

Waderlai did come out and call out Chuck Liddell.. Supposedly the fight is going to happen in Vegas in Febuary.. I hope Chuck knocks him the fuck out..

Again, this PPV ruled.. I'd give it a 9/10..

Chuck vs. Vanderlai isn't happening unless Pride goes under and UFC pick him up.

Oh and it won't happen if Tito beats Chuck either.
