Y2J to TNA?
Or not?
Does anyone know whats going on. Before Kurt went to TNA, i thought there was no way Y2J leaves WWE. Now that Kurt is there and TNA seems to have a very solid, if not more solid foundation then WWE has and given the fact that he isnt obligated to go back to WWE via contract and given the fact that his Fozzy crap is turning up on TNA and not WWE. Is it all but a done deal? It dont matter who did what to who at this point. The fact is, we went to war. And now there aint no going back. It's what war is you know? Once you're in it, you're in it. If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie, but we gotta fight! |

I haven't seen anything on Y2J going to TNA and it would seem that if Jericho did opt to return to wrestling that he would go to the WWE, where he could get the most exposure for his band.

They are giving him exposure, but the exposure in the WWE is greater, so it would help him more. Alls I'm saying.

Well the amount of people watching the WWE vs the amount of people watching TNA leads me to think otherwise, YA KNOW?

TNA could turn into the Chris Jericho hour and he would still get more exposure in 3 minutes in the WWE than he would in TNA.

I think he's pretty loyal to the WWE, I know I would go to WWE rather than TNA if I was Jericho.

It's not always about money. If it was, Jericho would have stayed in WCW when his contract came up in 2000 instead of jumping ship to the WWF.
The reason he did so is because WCW wasn't using him for shit, and the WWF offered much better promises of using him to his fullest extent. It's well know that in TNA, wrestlers are given more freedom to be themselves in front of the camera (i.e. not getting word-for-word scripts to read) and much more freedom to do what they wish when in the ring. In WWE, it's much more scripted, both in promos and matches. Jericho wasn't being used properly in the WWE. When's the last time he had anything NEAR a decent World Title run? Oh, that's right. Never. When's the last time he had a decent title chase? Hmm.. well, he jobbed to John Cena right before leaving, but other than that, never. Jericho was very poorly misused throughout the last few years of his WWE run. In TNA, not only are there a huge number of possible match ups that would leave wrestling fans salivating, but it gives Jericho a better opportunity to express himself as a creative wrestler, have more time off to concentrate on his (lol) "music," and he'll immediately become a top tier main event player. I hope he goes to TNA just so I can see Jericho vs. Daniels/Sabin/Styles/Low Ki/Shelley/Joe.... so many great possibilities. |

TNA gives way too much air time to many people IMO. Not good at all at figuring out who and who not to push.
As far as Jericho going to TNA I truly won't be surprised if he does end up in TNA. After Angle going to TNA nothing will surprise me anymore. |

From what I know, Jericho wants to stay loyal to the WWE.
His Fozzy performance may not even be live on TNA. |

You don't have to win World Titles to be consider successful.
Jesus Christ, it's not all about titles. Even Jake Roberts has stated that titles are nothing more than props. Jericho had a highly successful run in the WWE. He was used weekly, always involved in top level feuds, and one of the most over guys in the company. |

But wouldn't Jericho also consider that if he got into talks with the WWE about coming back, he'd most likely get a huge push? What better way to put yourself back on the map than make a huge comeback after your final match was for the WWE Championship and the guy you wrestled is still the champ?
Thats the optimist in me. The pessimest says taht he'd just get buried again. Last edited by Favre4Ever; 11-06-2006 at 01:05 AM. |

Why does everybody say Jericho got shat on in WWE?
I am the utlimate jeri-mark, and I think he did pretty damn well in WWE. He was a 2-time WCW World Champion under the WWF banner. He was the "1st ever" Undisputed Champion (Don't give me any of that bullshit about how that is meaningless either) Along with that Undisputed title, is that he beat Stone Cold and The Rock (the two biggest names in wrestling since Hulk Hogan) in the same night. He has held the Intercontinental Championship more than anybody else. He has main evented WrestleMania at WM X8 He has had a classic match with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIX. He had one of the most memorable debuts in WWF (and possibly in the history of modern wrestling). He had classic matches with Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Triple H, and others. While there is some bullshit in his WWE run, the fact is that people will remember the bare bones and the bare bones are that Chris Jericho is one of the greatest to have ever been in the WWF/WWE. |

Though I dont think Jericho ever got his due in WWE, they certainly gave him freedom. His talent has proven itself to the point where I'm pretty sure he doesnt have to do word for word scripts. He said himself that he has had ideas and ran them by Vince, thinking they wouldnt fly, and Vince just said "Yea thats great Chris just pause for a crowd reaction." Its not like hes gonna be able to say things in TNA he wouldnt be allowed to in WWE. WWE dictates characters with a lot of talent, but I dont think Jericho falls into the category. He's a guy who they have because of who he is, not because of who they want him to be.
Given that Vince is crazy, I think he generally likes Chris Jericho. This idea is just based on the fact that Jericho is a hardworker who was always happy with his accomplishments and never was documented as being a complainer. He also never missed Raw in his time with the company, and was always healthy and ready to work. He wrestled good matches and was what Vince would consider an ideal employee based on what they say about him. His leaving was on great terms and he has expressed his more than-happiness with his run in WWE, and said that he doesnt wish to wrestle ever again unless its with them. His 2 goals in life were to gain the intercontinental championship and wrestle at a WM. He more than surpassed those goals. Based on that, I dont see why he would want to be anywhere else and why WWE isnt dying to have him back, especially now |
