I'm seriously losing interest in wrestling

I honestly never thought this could happen. WWE has been so shitty that it has severely weakened my addiction to wrestling as a whole. Like, I don't even feel like watching ROH or puro very much, even. Whenever raw was cancelled on usa because of that retarded dog show I used to get extremely pissed. This year I non-chalantly changed the channel with not even a mild annoyance.

I skipped on the Brian Pillman Dvd, which in and of itself is amazing. I'm not totally done, as I'm still interested in shoot dvds and biographys, but as for watching actual wrestling, my will to watch has waned considerably.

I haven't watched wrestling since like September, I can't stand any promotion right now, and the only reason I have any clue whats going on is because I haven't see "Huge Asshole Found Dead" is any world papers. Since no assholes have died (Jarrett, Cena, or Vince. Obviously nothing has changed. Also you guys keep me updated, and by doing so keep me from sunjecting myself to the shit, thanks people, rep all around.

Its just, meh. Its not laughable like the late days of WCW but its just so boring. Everyones getting old, the champions are boring, the storylines suck, the fueds are dull, theres nobody new, the top guys are just forced on us (half the fans don't even cheer the companys top guy/champion/superface) and thats the people who actually buy tickets. It seems like nothing happens every week, and even PPVs are dissapoiting and overall unventful. Its like you can count the things that have happened in the WWE this year on one hand. The GMs suck and theres no contreversial or dramatic fueds, complex storylines or cliffhanger twists and turns. Its just..."i dont like you lets fight" or "i'm a heel, you're a face. lets go". And if you live under a rock for 3 months you can come out and find that nothing has changes.More stuff regarding the WWE happens on the website than on programming.
I could kinda go on all day, but basically its just really drab, boring, uneventful and simple. But I always hold out hope...

Plus TNA just hasnt caught my interest yet, not fully.
Its like...in 96 when WCW exploded, it was as Bischoff said "it was the big noise over there and the fans turned and said, I'm going to look at that"
If WWE was the local bar you always hung out at, WCW was the new hip club that opened across the street but ended up going bankrupt and fucking everything up. Everyone goes back to the old bar.
TNA is the half empty bottle of jack in the alleyway outside when you're miserable and sick of the same old bar setting. Sure it looks crappy, theres not much and its kinda low class, but at least it has more alcoholic content (actual wrestling talent).

The fact that the guy who is supposed to be representing the WWE as a whole by holding the WWE championship is in a fued/will wrestle against someone who has absolutely no experience in wrestling (and no place in it) sums up everything that's wrong with WWE....nothing everyone doesn't already know, of course. But still, of course people will get tired of the same damn thing re-hashed every 5 months or so.....but it's not changing, so the best you can do is hope that by some miracle another company will actually force Vince and company to actually put out a better product.

But tbh, I'm interested in seeing how they handle things at Survivor Series. Although my general thought is with all of the chances they have for some great fueds to come out of the matches they have setup, nothing will come of it..... BUT IT'S STILL POTENTIAL TO ME DAMNIT!!

dont watch SD, dont watch ECW, just a tad bit of Raw and now not anymore cuz of MNF

I think WWE is the old boring stale local bar, while TNA is more like a brand new bar that's open....doing average, not really hip nor stale and boring IMO.

Sad part about TNA is the fact that they managed to pull in Angle, yet aren't any better off than they were before in ratings on Impact. Then again things might pickup a BIT after Genesis, but not by much. But I remember everyone going batblind over the fact that Angle had signed with TNA, and how it would be the death of WWE....yet nothing changed, really. 2006 has looked horrible and 2007 will possibly be kicked off in the worst way ever.

The only difference is WWE has been slumping downward for several years, and isn't improving upon anything besides making a stride towards breaking into the cartoon industry.

Its absolutely true that they've been progressively sliding. But with the heights they were at as a show, a company and an overall product there was nowhere but down. They were on the cover of TV Guides, featured on the news and getting superbowl commercial TV spots. It hadn't been seen for 10 years.
They certainly shouldnt have slipped the way they have but a number of bad decisions and unfortunate events, as well as what I think is a lack of motivation has just led them to this point. The decline really began in 2001, which was only 5 years ago.
So if there is another resurgance it might not come for a few more years, or more. Maybe not at all, unless something like WCW comes along and forces revolution.
The thing people fail to take into account when comparing the rise of WCW with the current situation of TNA, is the financial aspect. WCW only succeeded because of the massive amount of financial backing and broadcasting sway Ted Turner gave it. He didnt do it as a financial endeavor as much as he did it as a personal desire to become the top dog of 'wrastling' since he had money to throw around. So its not like TNA is gonna get over based on their talent or product quality slowly, its gonna take a huge bang. It really would take the rare occurence of someone genuinely wanting to dump millions into it and putting it up against the top dog, against all risks of business.
The Monday Night Wars were an amazing occurence, but it may have been an isolated incident.

IMO, TNA need to stop copying the dumb shit that happened in WWE and WCW

a few examples that piss me off.

Samoa Joe (Goldberg)
Jeff Jarrett (John Cena)

and to stop employing ALL the WWE cast-offs, and diva search losers, as if they all aren't losers.

Being booked as an unstoppable monster was being done long before Goldberg, and Jarrett's being booked like HHH, not Cena.

As for them stopping hiring WWE guys, well, why would they? I'm not saying they should replace all their workers with WWE guys if the opportunity arose, but a few won't hurt.

Y'know, I haven't sat down and watched an entire wrestling show in almost half a year (which is why I'm rarely around tpww anymore) I try to keep up to speed by reading results online, but other than that, I just really don't care that much. The only time in months where I felt genuinely excited about WWE was when Chris Benoit came back, and they effectively killed that buzz by feeding him into the ridiculous Eddie angle (though I'm sure Benoit and Chavo can still burn the house down)

I'll always be a fan in some ways or another, but well, if you don't like the show, don't watch. And I find myself not watching more and more often.
