Anything wrong with bending on a bass?
As in bending strings, not tying the thing in knots or anything.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”--John Rogers |

I was just worried with physical damage. People have inundated me with things NOT to do with a bass.

You worried about damaging the strings or the hardware that holds it? I don't think unless you are bending them like a foot away from the bridge, that you can do much damage, the strings are meant to take a beating.

I bend 'em all the time and in the 5 years I've played, I've only broken a handful of strings.

I bend the strings a lot on my fretless and I haven't broken any strings yet.

However, it's not the strings I'm worried about. |
