Bit hard to atm. I would wait until after WM, then have him team with Edge& Orton by attacking Flair and feud with DX.

That means that DX would still be going on up through and past WrestleMania, and also by TL's suggestion John Cena would still be a top player up to and through that.

I am seriously suggesting John Cena doesn't need to turn heel, he just needs to die. Everyone knows, every wrestler is their most popular right after they die. John Cena could be huge, everyone over night would go from hating him to saying deep down they always loved him they were just banwagon jumping to hate him.

Haha, is it sick that I actually don't mind the WWE getting John Cena to pretend he died, and point out this is the first time a WWE Champion has died, and then he comes back (JR: BAHGAWD! John Cena beat the odds, and defeated death! He's the by gawd Second Coming!), and says it was a hoax, to show everyone how important he is to this business.

Then stick him with Vince McMahon, as his ideal WWE Champion. Basically go the "Corporate Champion" route with him. To combine a third idea I saw in this thread, have him coerce Maria into sleeping with him, in comes CM Punk, who informs John Cena of their relationship. Rap vs. Punk, that's the feud they need to go with.

Actually, the easiest way to turn him heel would be to keep playing him up the way they have been, but eliminate the whole "edit the crowd" or "ignore the crowd" or anything else they're doing.

The fans were turning him heel. They lost half a point in the ratings trying to keep him face.

They wouldn't have to change anything about his character, just have him fight anyone who is not an uber-heel and the crowd will boo him. Heck, the crowd half boos him against Edge or Orton until one of them makes a derogatory remark about whatever city they're in.

Seriously, just start a feud with him vs. ANY other face on the roster and you have a completely heel John Cena.

New Year's Eve RAW: John Cena and K-Fed make their respective entrances. They are standing in the ring, walk into the center, and hug! Cena says he's got a special New Year's surprise for us, and they bust out a song from K-Fed's album. Hahahaha!

You can then have Cryme Tyme, The Hardys or even MNM run down and get the ultimate babyface heat that comes with preventing us from being subjected to "America's Most Hated".

I can actually see the WWE doing this, as an actual match between the two would suck major dick.

Of course, DX would probably feud with Cena, with J-Cen from the Scene defending the WWE Championship against Shawn Michaels in his hometown at the Royal Rumble, Triple H winning the actual Rumble Match (sigh), and John Cena vs. Triple H headlining a second WrestleMania.

I thought of this last week or so:

Have Rated RKO get into Cena's head about how the last 6 months or so DX has been running Raw. How even though Edge and Cena was tearing down houses over the WWE Title, DX was always getting top billing. Edge reminds Cena that in his entrance music there is a line "Your time is up, my time is now." They tell Cena to "prove to the World that his time is NOW."

Fast forward to a six man tag later that night between DX/Cena vs. Rated RKO/Kenny. Triple H pedigrees and pins Kenny. Then Edge and Orton beatdown DX with chairs much like last night, only for DX to make a comeback. Have Kenny recover and attack DX, then Cena comes from behind and beats DX down with Triple H's own sledgehammer.

Cena then comes out the next week with new music and start proclaiming that for last year and a half he's been booed out of buildings, but he accepted that the fans had the right to do so. He kept staying true to the fans that stayed with him. Then DX came along and took away Cena's spotlight and that while fans were still booing Cena, the fans that were cheering Cena started to buy DX merchandise and support DX.

Then when Rated RKO talked to Cena last week, Cena realized that ALL of the fans didn't give a damn about Cena and only cared about DX. So Cena decided that it was time to take care of John Cena and stop trying to get the fans to like him again.

And then Cena ends up injurying HBK enough that HBK needs knee surgery (since it's been talked about giving him time off for ages now). That leaves Triple H vs. Cena at Wrestlemania. And then you can add Randy Orton vs. Edge at Mania as well.

You have to turn a babyface when his popularity is at the highest...or when the Marine is out of theatres.

I like KOOS's idea, cause it isn't farfetched and Cena would feel justified in his actions.
