Ring of Honor/TNA
I just watched Survival of the Fittest 06 and Samoa Joe, Jim Cornette, and Christopher Daniels were on it. This was from October and I know they were on TNA at the time. So does ROH have any tie ins with TNA? What's the deal?

Their contracts allow for other bookings.

I wonder, does a TNA contract say that they cannot wrestle for WWE? Or are they free to book anywhere else and it's one of those obvious unspoken rules? Because if it doesn't say they can't work WWE, could you imagine if the WWE did start using them? Sure, they'd be putting over the "other team", but I think that it could actually bring something huge to the table. I know Vince would be against it, but I think that this sort of Invasion with them STILL working the other promotions could work better than the nWo did. It would be a bit like the ECW/WWF interpromotion, but TNA wouldn't be (publicly, anyway) happy about it. Last edited by Xero; 12-30-2006 at 02:12 PM. |

Agreed. They need to be smarter with the deals they offer especially to those wrestlers who might actually make a difference in the company.

Some of the TNA stars are locked into long term contracts which from what I understand have a list of who they can and can not work for. I know a few years ago TNA told it's stars that they could either work for them or RoH, and to my knowledge, Punk was the only one of the cross stars who chose RoH. After what's his name left the company TNA allowed to work both promotions again.
As for if they could work with WWE or not, there are only about a dozen or so TNA stars who have signed conracts. Most TNA workers are working under a verbal agreement, so by all rights they could work with WWE. But WWE wouldn't want to do that since all they would be doing is showing TNA's undercard on WWE's much more popular programming. |
