Some of this is great, some not so much. I took it from another forum. Some of it is SUPER-Relevant:

1. They should push the cruiserweight division!

14. The WWE will be dead in the next 6 months because of (insert shitty angle/booking decision here)!

49. Kurt Angle is perfectly healthy because he does moonsaults.

50. In the off-chance he is not perfectly healthy, it's okay because it is totally honorable to kill yourself in the name of professional wrestling.

51. Brawling = BAD WORKRATE

53. The WWE Divas are the gold standard of female beauty, and if you disagree you must be some kind of Homer Sexual.

54. TNA is the main workrate-friendly promotion in wrestling. And don't give me any of this crap about Benoit and Finlay getting 20-minute matches on Smackdown because One Man Gang GREAT KHALI AND UNDERTAKER IS A BAD WORKRATE PERSON so you see it is clearly an inferior product.

55. Kurt Angle = BEST EVAR!

56. DVDVR Playas = BLIND WWE HATERS!

57. DVDVR Playas = BLIND WWE MARKS!

58. Discussion of pro wrestling should be treated with the utmost seriousness AT ALL TIMES.

59. JEFF JARRETT IS ONLY AROUND TO PUT HIMSELF OVER WHY DOESN'T JOE HAVE THE BELT (this one is slightly outdated, I admit).

60. Paul Birchall can do a ridiculous flipping finisher, he should be pushed.

61. The Canadian Destroyer does not look fake, he uses the other wrestlers momentum against him.

64. Guys, (insert midget indy dude here) can't be that small. I saw him wrestle Samoa Joe and Joe was like 5 inches taller than him and Joe is like 6'4, so WWE saying that (insert midget indy dude here) is too small is just BULLSHIT.

65. WWE would make more money with puro atmosphere

66. In puro, it's not about characters, it's all about competition and respect.

95. Established stars should lose all of their matches. Midcarders should always win against main eventers.

96. Who cares if Jerry Lawler has good punches? If I cared about punching, I'd watch boxing!

97. Wrestlers are completely incapable of getting over on their own. It's the creative team's job to do it for them.

98. Smackdown’s not worth my time because a black guy doing shtick comedy’s the champ (this one is also a little outdated).

99. Trish Stratus / Stacy Keibler / The Rock / Anyone smart should at the very least wrestle part-time to show gratitude to the fans who made them what they are today.

At the beginning of Hulkamania? No. At the beginning of his Main Event run? Yeah, they were on a downward slope. But they came through it after several celebrity tie ins and the Andre angle so it all worked out.

And your little Hardy argument is pointless and has no founding.

Cena does draw women and children in hoards. And they actually buy merch on top of that. I go to live shows often, I see it every time I go. The Shopezone line filled with borderline nothing but women and Children buying Cena merch. Yeah lets not push this guy, no ones interested. Cena draws more than anyone else on the roster, despite whether or not the males enjoy him. Is he an all time great draw? No. But he's proven to be better than the rest of the roster. Kids have parents, parents have money. Add women buying Cena merch just because he's hot and you have a success on your hands.

In a time when wrestling is on a downward slump Cena is pulling more than satisfactory numbers. I'm willing to bet he's more successful than the wrestlers of the mid 90's when it comes down to it.

Cena isn't the greatest thing since slice bread, and he isn't going to start a boom. But he is over and he is a draw. He's also driven away viewers, but not as many as keeps tuned in every week. WWE's no.1 demographic is children. And with the Ortons and Cenas of the WWE women are becoming a valuable market as well.

It sucks for people like me, but it makes money. Are people tuning out? Yeah. But is the WWE ending in the green? Yeah. Things aren't as good as they were, but they've been loosing viewers for years. Cena was a final straw for a lot of people, but he surely wasn't the first.

(You need to stop comparing Cena to the boom standards, right now there isn't anyone who is going to duplicate those numbers. Maybe 10 years from now someone will come along, but until then Cena is holding down the fort.)

Biggest draw ever? No. Still drawing more veiwers than HBK and Bret Hart did? Yeah. Check the numebrs.

I'm comparing Cena to standards from a couple years ago. Not the boom standards. You need to stop inferring otherwise. That's why I pointed out wrestling ratings have dropped by almost a full point. That's not from boom period ratings, that's from like, a year/year and a half ago.

If I was comparing it to boom ratings, I'd be talking about how they've gone down several points.

It is interesting, however, that the market was relatively stable until after Cena became the face of the company, and THEN it started to turn into...What did you say? "a downward slump?" And DX came on, when it had settled down into a new level of around 3.6 and then it "slumped" again?
