But it would make sense for NY to do that. Although Maddux does not want to pitch in the American League. F U C K New York. Phillies 4 Life |

He also went on to say that the Braves are doing it the correct way. because most of their players were developed from the farm league

The Phillies HAVE BEEN DOING IT CORRECT FOR THE PAST DECADE WE WE SUCKED. We started to build from within, Scott Rolen was the centerpiece until he peaced out. Homegrown players for us are Pat Burrell, Mike Lieberthal, Marlon Byrd, Jimmy Rollins, Brett Myers, Randy Wolf, and Chase Utley. We then went out and got the players we need to get over the hump. Thome, Abreu (we traded for in 97), Bell, Millwood, BILLY WAGNER. This team is ****ing set for glory. Just bring it, NY. |

The New York Yankees are the Major League Baseball what the United States of America are to the world.
Nearly unlimited resources, but if somebody else has something we want (A-Rod/Maddux, oil) we send someone (Soriano, the military) away so we can get it. |

Ya know what, Do I like what the Yanks (and the Red Sox) and the Mets do? No...
However, it's the owners fault, they could have broken the players union, this could have been like Football, no gaurenteed contracts and such, but the baseball owners wouldn't wait it out. If I was the baseball owners, I'd Lock out the players, bust the union. Same thing your going to see in Hockey, who moves first, players or owners. Football did it, and the players lost. The other sports should take a look. |

A. Maddux isn't an ace pitcher anymore
B. Maddux would have a better chance of winning a World Series with the Cubs. A lineup of Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Greg Maddux could beat the American League All-Stars in a seven game series if the need arose. Maddux is retarded if he doesn't go and be the third pitcher for the Cubs, and he is retarded if he goes to the Yankee's purely because they are the only team stupid enough to bite on his outrageous asking price. |

if Maddux went to the Cubs him and Zambrano would be battling over the 4th/5th spots
thats stability right there which is why I think he'll go to Chicago |
